Art Therapy to let them know that the commission will reach back out later in the year <br />about participating in the art gallery. <br />Earth Fair <br />Jackie said it has been difficult to get vendors for the event. Leah believed it may be because the <br />commission is looking for such a specific type of vendor. The North Olmsted Garden Council, <br />North Olmsted Garden Club, Rescue Inn and The Cookery are interested in coming to the event. <br />Leah reached out to Medwish, Citizens Climate and Fawaky food truck and is waiting to hear <br />back from them. Jackie reached out to Jakprints about using environmentally friendly paper and <br />also sent info about Botanical Paperworks who makes compostable handouts. Jackie will reach <br />out to Jeff Cavallo about performing for the event and the Trash Talkers could be a short <br />performance if available. The site layout will be determined once entertainment and vendors are <br />finalized. Janelle will reach out to Outback Ray about doing a show where the kids can touch the <br />animals, instead of having the Lake Erie Nature Center presentation. The City Forester is <br />working on getting tree -related activities or handouts for the event and the Service Department <br />may have a recycling -related station at the event. Full Cycle Organics will be used to provide <br />composting services at the event. Nicole will provide some links to compostable paper goods to <br />food vendors to encourage their use at the event. Signage regarding compostable paper goods <br />can be used on food trucks that make sure people are aware of what to do after they eat their <br />food. The Garden Club will have a seed planting activity and raffle basket. The SITES students <br />will have an activity for the event. Drink Local, Drink Tap sent in their vendor paperwork. Jackie <br />said Forever Flowers of CLE will provide an upcycled flower backdrop for the event in <br />exchange for a table at the event. Nicole asked if the commission would like to purchase <br />recycling containers, Leah would like to have them for future events too. Someone will need to <br />keep the vendor loading/unloading zone moving and have the vendors park in a certain location <br />to provide more parking for visitors. The Girl Scout troops can help visitors sort garbage at the <br />waste stations. <br />Butternut Ridge Pocket Park <br />The committee narrowed the eight artist submissions to two artists who will be asked to submit <br />design concepts for the work. <br />Veterans Art Gallery <br />The event will be October 3`d and will have a visual art gallery in addition to live performances <br />and community group information tables at Old Town Hall. Nicole is working on drafting a <br />schedule for event planning and wording to help promote the event. The planning committee <br />wants to allow military members and their families to express what they want to and not create a <br />theme for the event. <br />COMMUNICATIONS <br />Westside Flea <br />Westside Flea reached out about having a table available for the Arts Commission at their events. <br />There was not much interest in hosting a table since the events are long and there are other Arts <br />Commission events going on during the summer. It would be difficult to commit to the entire <br />
