Kim was proud of how well the gallery turned out and recognized how much work Nicole put into the presentation. Hug in a Mug Jackie explained her idea to coordinate efforts of the Commission with the Senior Center for the 40 residents at St. Richard's Apartments. Large black mugs were ordered that will be filled with local honey, ornaments and snacks. The white gift bags will be decorated by local girl scouts. Due to concerns regarding the pandemic. the idea of having carolers sing when the bags are dropped off will not work. Sue would help design a tag that would double as an ornament to attach to the bags. Leah and Sue offered to help assemble the bags when the supplies are gathered. Jackie suggested having a handwritten card from the Commission also. Yoga+ Dates had been selected for the 2021 round of Yoga+ events. However, with the stay-at-home order issued earlier this week, Kim did not think it was realistic to try plan the January, event with so much uncertainty surrounding events. Jackie said there are a lot of virtual yoga options available already and it would be difficult to make the event stand out. Sue agreed with not having the in-person events. Kim wants to wake sure the event is not forgotten since it was a good event. Leah thought it may be possible to do a virtual version if the uncertainty eases in the next few months. The dates will be removed from the calendar but may be added later depending on the circumstances. Holiday Lights Map After the successful Halloween Decorating Contest, the Commission would like to do something for the holidays. Property owners could submit their address to be included on the map and no prizes would be needed. Leah wanted to make sure the addresses would be listed on the map. There should be select times and dates that families and participants should plan on the displays being operational to optimize the event. It would be a self -guided tour for families to get out of the house. Other activities and extras could be included to help round out the festive experience for families. The committee will need to iron out the details quickly to get public participation in time to share the map. Other Winter Events With the cancelation of Yoga -t-, the group should think about other substitute events for early In next year.
