BUILDING & ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS <br />CITU OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />MINUTES OF FEBRI ARA 7, 2022 <br />ROLL CALL <br />Mr. Allain called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. in Council Chambers. <br />Present: Eric Allain. Bob Papotto, Ralph Macke%- Dan Rahn- Suzie Patton <br />State: Law Director Michael Garcau, Jr_ Economic & Communit% Development Director Max <br />I Ipton. Building Coordinator Katie Seele%, Administrative Assistant Nicole Ramho-Ackerman <br />BOARD ORGANIZATION <br />Mr. Mackey nominated Mr. Allain as Chair for 2022, motion passed 5-0. <br />Mr. Mackey nominated Mr. Papotto as Vice Chair for 2022, motion passed 5-0. <br />REVIEW AND CORRECTION OF MINUTES <br />Mr. Papotto moved, seconded by Mr. Mackey, to approve the Building & Zoning Board of <br />Appeals minutes of December 6, 2021, motion passed 5-0. <br />RESIDENTIAL APPEALS AND REQUESTS <br />21-20783; Riham Labbad: 258341Talhyood Drive <br />Representatives: Riham Labbad and .lowunna Shukri. owners <br />Proposal consists or a second dri%ewa} curb cut. Properh is zoned A -One I atnilN Residence. <br />Proposal was tabled at the December 6. 2021 meeting. <br />I. A variance for a second curb cut. code permits I dri%ecw% curb per residential lot. applicant <br />shows 2, Section 1 135.02(8)('-)(a). <br />Ms. Shukri said they would like to install a horseshoe -shaped driveway because there is not enough <br />room for their entire htmily to park. crhich will ha%e about ween or eight cars. I -hey currentlN hale <br />six cars. including a %chicle for Mr. Labhad-s business. I hey get tickets viten parking on the street <br />o%emiLht. Mr. Labbad added that there is another similar dri%ewa% on their street. Ms. Seele%said <br />the applicant indicated during their pre%ious discussions that the proposal %vas to accommodate <br />the %chicles for his large famil%, not for business use. She advised him that the 21 -foot wide <br />drnce NaN requirement would need to be met and he said the dri%eway would not meet their needs. <br />Ms, Seeley added that Iwo curb cuts are not permitted. Ms. Shukri said the% expect more lamik <br />members to move into their home which will add more %chicles. The owner has a cleanine business <br />with a %an that requires parkin_ as well. Mr. Mackey confirmed with the applicant that there is ten <br />feet betl%een the garage and the property line I le then raked it applicants considered installing <br />a parking pa(. Ms. Shukri thought the parking pad would onl% lit Iwo cars and would be dil licult <br />to maneuver in and out ot: Mr. Labbad did riot think a parking pad would pro%ide enough room to <br />get out of the car.
