Motion passed unanimously. <br />Police Officer Lateral Transfer/Entry-Level Age Limit <br />Historically, for many years the maximum age was capped at 35 years old. Discussion followed <br />regarding a change in age for both the Lateral and the Entry -Level. The drafted rule amendment is <br />that if it is an original appointment the age limit remains the same but if it is a transfer, other than an <br />original appointment, then the age limit is lifted. The Fire Department in on board with the same <br />changes that the Police Department will make. <br />Motion by Commissioner Flannery, seconded by Commissioner Cotofan to change the capped age <br />requirement to forty-two (42) for new hires. <br />Motion passed unanimously. <br />Motion by Commissioner Cotofan, seconded by Commissioner Flannery to accept an unrestricted <br />age limit for the Police Officer Lateral Transfer candidates pursuant to Rule II, Section 7 b, c. <br />Motion passed unanimously. <br />Police Officer Lateral Transfer Eligible List: Reopen Application Process <br />Motion by Commissioner Flannery, seconded by Commissioner Fratini to close the current Police <br />Officer Lateral Transfer Eligible List and start a new application process pursuant to Rule VII, <br />Section 6, insufficient names remaining on the eligible list. <br />Motion passed unanimously. <br />VI. ADJOURNMENT: <br />Motion by Commissioner Flannery, seconded by Commissioner Fratini, that the meeting be <br />adjourned. Motion passed unanimously.
