CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION MEETING <br />CITY COUNCIL CAUCUS ROOM <br />MINUTES — MARCH 20, 2023 <br />7:00 P.M. <br />I. ROLL CALL: Chair called the meeting to order at 7:02 p.m. <br />PRESENT: A. Flannery, J. Cotofan, T. Fratim <br />ALSO PRESENT: Economic & Community Director M. Upton, Human Resources Director L. <br />Kidd, Assistant Law Director Bryan O'Malley, and HR Administrative <br />Assistant D. Eccleston <br />Il. DISPOSITION OF MINUTES: <br />Motion by Commissioner Flannery, seconded by Commissioner Fratini to approve the minutes of <br />February 27, 2023. <br />Motioned passed unanimously. <br />III. COMMUNICATIONS: <br />There were 16 items of correspondence received and 25 items of correspondence sent out by the <br />Civil Service Commission. <br />IV. OLD BUSINESS: <br />Police Officer Lateral Transfer Eligible List <br />Discussion commenced regarding the Police Officer Lateral Transfer Eligible List. Pursuant to <br />Rule IV, Section 2, there are a number of candidates that have tie scores. Candidate #3 — <br />application received 2/20/23 and candidate #4 — application received 2/22/23. Candidate #6 — <br />application received 2/22/23 and candidate #7 — application received 2/26/23. Candidate #9 — <br />application received 2/23/23 and candidate #10 — application received 2/26/23. Candidate #11 — <br />application received 2/17/23, candidate #12 — application received 2/27/23 7:52 am and candidate <br />#13 — application received 2/27/23 12:01 pm. Candidate #15 — application received 2/1/23 and <br />candidate #16 — application received 2/27/23. <br />Motion by Commissioner Flannery, seconded by Commissioner Fratini to certify the Police Officer <br />Lateral Transfer Eligible List. <br />Motion passed unanimously. <br />Promotional Police Sergeant Ranking List <br />From the Promotional Police Sergeant Ranking List, Rank 93, Rory Kummer, has been promoted to <br />Police Sergeant on February 12, 2023 and Rank #4, James Kaminski, has been promoted to Police <br />Sergeant on March 7, 2023; therefore, the Promotional Police Sergeant Ranking List has been <br />exhausted. <br />
