Motion by Commissioner Flannery, seconded by Commissioner Fratini to remove original rank #5, <br />#8, #13, 916, #18. 420, #25, #38 and #39 on the Police Officer Entry -Level Eligible List due to <br />either no response, failed interview, failed background or no show. <br />Motion passed unanimously. <br />The Administration has hired two (2) candidates off the Police Officer Entry -Level Eligible List and <br />three (3) candidates are in the hiring process. <br />Motion by Commissioner Flannery. seconded by Commissioner Cotofan to revoke the Police <br />Officer Entry -Level Eligible List pursuant to Rule VII. Section 5. <br />Motion passed unanimously. <br />Firefighter/Paramedic Entry -Level Eligible List <br />General discuss followed regarding the Firefighter/Paramedic Entry -Level Eligible list; five (5) <br />candidates have been hired and original rank #l7 is in the hiring process; eligible list is more than <br />six (6) months older and fewer than 14 names are remaining. <br />Motion by Commissioner Flannery, seconded by Commissioner Fratini to revoke the <br />Firefighter/Paramedic Entry -Level Eligible List. <br />Motion passed unanimously. <br />V. NEW BUSINESS: <br />Determine Classification of New Position: Economic Development Coordinator <br />General discussion commenced regarding the new position created in the Economic and <br />Community Development Department. This position has been approved by Council earlier this <br />year and has exceptional qualifications which are not practical to test for under a competitive <br />examination. Also discussed if this position is classified or unclassified per the Charter. <br />Motion by Commissioner Flannery, seconded by Commissioner Cotofan to deem the Economic <br />Development Coordinator as classified/non-competitive pursuant to Rule IX, Section 2. <br />Motion passed unanimously. <br />Entry -Level Police and Fire NTN Testing <br />Discussion commenced regarding the National Testing Network (NTN) testing process; scoring, <br />and weights. <br />Motion by Commissioner Flannery, seconded by Commissioner Fratini to set the passing scores and <br />weights for the National Testing Network (NTN) testing the same as the previous testing cycle with <br />NTN. <br />Motion passed unanimously. <br />The secretary will be on vacation the week of June 19`h and is requesting to the Commission if the <br />regular scheduled meeting of June 19`h can be moved to June 12`h. <br />
