Board members went into a discussion; Ms. Patton questioned the safety of the hybrid fence due <br />to poor installation. Mr. Mackey offered his opinion that he was in favor. Mr. Rahm and Mr. <br />Kovach agreed with Mr. Mackey and staff to take a look at the code for modifications. <br />Motion Passed: 5-0 <br />23-24074; Peggy Clum/Doverwood Gessner LLC -23654 Gessner Road <br />Proposal to install an open design wood and wire fence around proposed raised bed garden. <br />Property is zoned C -One Family Residence. <br />The following variance is requested: <br />A variance to install 12.5 -gauge wire on a post and board (paddock or corral) fence, code <br />does not permit; applicant shows 12.5 -gauge wire on a post and board fence, Section <br />1369.02 <br />Note: Proposed fence is a wood and wire design using 12.5 gauge — 2 in. x 4 in. mesh <br />with 2 ft. x 6 ft. treated top and bottom rails — typically referred to as farm fence. <br />Representative: Peggy and Chuck Clum 23654 Gessner Road <br />Ms. Clum explained that this was to keep animals out of the garden and to allow light and air in. <br />Ms. Seeley and Director Upton did not have any objections. <br />Mr. Rahm moved; seconded by Ms. Patton; to approve 23-24074; Peggy Clum/Doverwood <br />Gessner LLC -23654 Gessner Road. <br />Mr. Mackey stated he favored the variance because it would be hidden from view. Mr. Rahm and <br />Mr. Kovach both agreed. Mr. Papotto commented that the fence was 6ft high as needed to keep <br />the deer out and agreed with the openness of the fence with the mesh. <br />Motion Passed: 5-0 <br />23-24087; Joseph Fasino/IRA Plan Partners for ANUP Garg-5870 Stearns Road <br />Proposal of a larger steel building (30'x50'), and larger driveway (21' wide). Property is zoned <br />B -One Family Residence. <br />The following variance is requested: <br />1. A 750 sq. ft. variance for area of private garage; code permits 750 sq. ft., applicant <br />shows 1500 sq. ft., Section 1135.02(B)(1)(a). <br />Proposed detached garage: 30 ft. x 50 ft. (15 00 sq. ft.) <br />Lot size: 74,618 sq. ft. (1.713 acre) <br />2. A 9 ft. variance for width of a driveway in the front yard, code permits 12 ft. in width, <br />applicant shows 21 ft. in width., Section 1135.02(B)(2)(c) <br />Representative: Joseph Fasino-5870 Stearns Road. <br />Mr. Fasino offered updated drawings to the board members and staff. He explained the reason he <br />wanted a wider garage was for storage, lawn equipment, motorcycles, trucks and items for the <br />pool.
