A survey was conducted and out of eight (8) cities, five (5) cities had no <br />passing time limit, one (1) city had 4 minutes 30 seconds passing time and two (2) cities did not <br />respond. Discussion continued regarding the Academy and their agility test and taking the agility <br />test again with the City's standards. <br />Motion by Commissioner Cotofan, seconded by Commissioner Fratini to delete the four minutes, <br />thirty seconds passing time for the Firefighter Agility test from Civil Service Rule II, Applicant <br />Qualifications. <br />Motion passed unanimously. <br />Determine Classification for the Safety Maintenance Position <br />The current Safety Maintenance position has been vacant for a while. Director Scofield said for this <br />position we would have to test and would like to request from the Commission to deem this position <br />as non-competitive due to the nature of this position. <br />Motion by Commissioner Flannery, seconded by Commissioner Fratini to find the Safety <br />Maintenance position to be an exceptional appointment under Rule M, Section 1 and allow it to be <br />a classified position and filled by a non-competitive appointment. <br />Motion passed unanimously. <br />V1. ADJOURNMENT: <br />Motion by Commissioner Flannery, seconded by Commissioner Fratini, that the meeting be <br />adjourned. Motion passed unanimously.
