He stated that in this coded section, conditionally, the use of an office space on <br />the first floor and second story dwelling can be approved. He also reiterated Mr. Upton"s <br />reference to I H 8.06, general standards. Mr. O'Malley suggested to the board to inquire from the <br />applicant his intent with the property and the proposed use. He added that the board may impose <br />limitations on the operation to prohibit any activities that would not be in keeping with the <br />district. <br />Ms. Hemann asked the applicant if he would explain how he would be using the property. Mr. <br />Moran explained to the board that he owns a small remodeling company" and stated that the <br />current four car garage was perfect for his tools, and the main floor was perfect for his business. <br />Ms. Hemann asked if the garage was already there and how the first floor was already set up. Mr. <br />Moran replied that the first floor would hold offices and that the garage was already on the <br />property. Ms. Hemann asked about the location of the house. Mr. Moran explained it was <br />between the old firehouse and a plaza with a barber shop. Ms. Hemann asked about machinery <br />and equipment storage. Mr. Moran replied he does not use that type of equipment. Mr. Peeples <br />asked if he was renovating the structures and explained he noticed some disrepair. Mr. Moran <br />replied that he had already applied for permits and planned to do a lot of remodeling to fix up the <br />property" including the roof, driveway, landscaping and other items. Mr. Peeples asked if he <br />would be allowed to have a sign" in which Mr. Upton advised he could apply if he chose to. Mr. <br />Olivos asked if he used his vehicle was used for work or personal use. He also asked if his <br />commercial vehicle would be seen from the street. Mr. Moran stated he has a small van that he <br />uses for work, and even if he left it out, it likely wouldnhow far <br />be seen from the street due to hofar <br />back the garage sits. Mr. Upton suggested that if there were any equipment being rented that it be <br />stored in the garage at the end of the day.
