Nadh Ojmsted Ads Cammissinn <br />North Olmsted Arts Commission Meeting Minutes <br />of February 18, 2025 <br />Mr. Boulton called the meeting to order at 06:30 p.m. <br />Present: Frank Boulton, Mark Mallett, Lori Kershner, Susan Begin, Keith Behrendt, Nahid <br />Parsipour <br />Absent: Tahani Moussa, Becky Tesar, Jacob Campbell <br />Staff. City Planner Nahid Parsipour, Assistant Director of Law Department Bryan O'Malley, <br />Director of Economic and Community Development Department Max Upton <br />CHAIRMAN MONTHLY ACTIVITY REPORT <br />Chairman Boulton presented his monthly activity report. Highlights: <br />- Master of Ceremonies at Symphony Christmas Event <br />The Symphony Christmas event attended by the Mayor was considered a great success, with <br />appreciation expressed for everyone involved. The music was described as fantastic, and a 45- <br />piece orchestra was assembled to inspire art and culture through music. The centerpieces were <br />highlighted as a memorable part of the evening. The event was well -attended, and the role of <br />master of ceremonies was fulfilled successfully. A particularly enjoyable moment was engaging <br />children in playing sleigh bells. The venue was packed, and the night was regarded as phenomenal. <br />- T-Shirt Designs for Ju Ju 5K Fundraiser <br />The Wood family, who lost their son Julian, organized a 5K fundraiser called the Juju 5K Run. <br />They requested involvement from a designer at Macy's in Manhattan, who created t-shirt designs <br />for the event. After submitting the designs, edits were requested, and a revised version was <br />prepared. The final drafts were expected to be delivered by the end of the week. The run was <br />planned to take place in North Olmsted, with streets being closed for the event. Corrections were <br />made to ensure the city's name was properly included in the design. The event was scheduled for <br />mid -June, though the exact date was not confirmed. <br />- Community Art Project Installation at North Olmsted Library <br />The Community Art Project was installed at the North Olmsted Library on January 19th, followed <br />by a well -received inauguration on January 25th.
