NEW BUSINESS:
Springvale Hospitality Supervisor
Rec and Public Engagement Director T. Pinchek was asked to present his job description for
Hospitality Supervisor. Director Pinchek stated that Bret is the Superintendent at the golf course and
Director Pinchek oversees that as well and would like to introduce to council a new position of
Hospitality Supervisor and frill time cook. This position is warranted and needed because of uptick
in golfers and the volume of sales, not to mention the wedding and events in the ballroom. They are
a~king for this to be classified non-competitive as there will be no testing for a cook.
Motion by Commissioner Flannery, seconded by Commissioner Fratini to determine the position of
Hospitality Supervisor to be classified under Article 6 Section 3 of the City Charter and under Rule
9 Section b being a significant managerial position which would be impractical to fill under an
exam.
Motion passed unanimously.
2026 Civil Service Budget
Civil Service Secretary spoke with Director Scofield, Chief Schepp, and Chief Wagner regarding
the hiring and testing needs of the Fire Department and Police Department.
