' CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ARCHITECTURAL BOARD OF REVIEW <br />MINUTES - MARCH 18, 1987 <br />I. ROLL CALL: <br />Chairwoman Case called the meeting to order at 5:00 p.m. <br />Present: J. Britton, M. Case, and D. Pattison <br />Absent: B. Zergott <br />Also Present: Clerk of Commissions B. Oring <br />II. REVIEW AND CORRECTION OF MINUTES: <br />D. Pattison moved to approve the minutes of February 18, 1987 as submitted, <br />seconded by J. Britton, and unanimously approved. <br />In. the .:minutes. of March 4th Mr. Pattison corrected. page 2, the llth line to <br />read: "...much protection from the weather." and on the 12th line change <br />the .work recommendations to'requirements. D. Pattison moved to approve the <br />minutes of March 4, 1987 as corrected, seconded by J. Britton, and unanimously <br />approved. <br />TIT. SIGNS: <br />1) Cheradon Plaza III, southeast corner of Dover Center Rd. and Brookpark Ext. <br />Ground sign and building sign approved with building plans. <br />IV. OLD BUSINESS: <br />No items. <br />V. NEW BUSINESS: <br />1) Nightfall Night Club, 30850 Lorain Road <br />Landscape plan <br />(Heard by Planning Commission January 27, 1987) <br />No landscape plan submitted and no representative present. <br />2) Ron's North Olmsted Bevera?e Drive-thru and Video Store, 30700 Lorain Rd. <br />Proposal to change exterior. material on south and east elevation to metal, <br />brick was previously approved by Planning Commission June 24, 1986 and <br />Architectural Board of Review on June 18, 1986. Heard by Planning <br />Commission March 10, 1987. <br />Mr. Hootman, contractor, explained that he was the second contractor and <br />was not aware that the proposal was approved with b rick on all 4 walls; <br />this additional brick will cost $9,000 more. The specifications he <br />bid on showed the metal siding on the rear and east elevations. He <br />presented samples of the materials which had been previously approved <br />and a sample of the medium brown steel siding proposed (Fabral Brown #228). <br />Mr. Britton stated that brick on half of the east Wall wouTd-be_an-eye_s.ore.
