OLD BUSINESS:
No items.
V. NELd BUSTNFSS:
1) Wendy`s Old Fashioned Hamburgers, 26650 Lorain Road.
Proposal to construct restaurant (existing building will be demolished).
Heard by Planning Commission December 13, 1988.
Mr. Dixon, architect, and Mr. Kikendahl, representing Wendy's, explained
that they are considering landbanking two parking spaces adjacent to
Lorain Road on the south westerly side of the parking lot. They explained
that they had not yet been able to acquire the Fretter's property for
additional parking, but would return to the city with a revised site plan
if they work it out with Fretter's. Mr. Dixon presented the landscaping
plan which will be reviewed later by Mr. Zergott. The building will be
a brownish red face brick (Tiffany Blend) by General Clay with a dryvit-
type material in an off white (Amarillo White) above the brick; there will
be a bay window on the front elevation (approximately 2 feet deep), and
the outside cooler will be covered in a cedar siding. Mr. Gallagher
suggested carrying the brick treatment around the cooler unit instead
of the cedar. Mr. Kilcendahl explained that this brand freezer comes with
this siding applied, but he would be willing to enclose it wi.th the s.ame
brick. Mr. Dixon explained that the lights would be on poles 14 to 18
feet high with a spaulding fixture (Oakland). Mr. Gallagher stated that
he had no problem with the plans as submitted as long as the cooler is
enclosed in brick and with the condition that Mr. Zergott approves the
landscape plan.
2) Romp Plaza (Drug Mart), 24485 Lorain Road
Proposal to construct addition for retail and storage, revision to
existing building and review of revised site plan.
Heard by Planning Commission December 13, 1988.
