CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />MINUTES - SEPTEMBER 26, 1989 <br />I. P.OLL CALL : <br />Chairman Thomas called the meeting to order at 8:00 p.m. <br />Present: M. Betts, R. Bierman, G. Knight, T. Morgan, and J. Thomas <br />Absent: R. Bowen and B. Gorris <br />Also Present: Assistant Law Director Dubelko, Building Commissioner Conway <br />Consulting City Engineer Cesen, and Clerk of Commissions Oring. <br />J. Thomas moved to appoint Mr. Bowen as secretary for the remainder of the <br />year, seconded by Mr. Morgan, and unanimously approved. <br />IT. REVIEW AND CORRECTION OF MINUTES: <br />R. Bierman moved to approve the minutes of September 12, 1989, seconded by <br />G. Knight, and unanimously approved. - <br />Chairman Thomas advised that the agenda would be rearranged in order to hear <br />Section IV. New Developments and Subdivisions first. <br />IV. NEW DEVELOPMENTS AND SUBDIVISIONS: <br />1) Sunrise Development Company and Sherman, Wolf Re-Subdivision and Assembly <br />Plat of land located along the North Olmsted Industrial Parkway. <br />The proposal is to split off a lot located on the south side of the <br />North Olmsted Industrial Parkway, as recorded in volume 239, pages 83 and <br />84 of Cuyahoga County Maps and Records. Zoning is Limited Industry, <br />entirely, and the proposal conforms to the Zoning Code. - <br />Mr. Coe, Sunrise Development Company, explained that this would be a S <br />acr-e-parcel in the Industrial Park arid would be for the Therm-All Company, <br />the first development in the Park. The building proposal will probably <br />be before the Commission at the next meeting. City Engineer Cesen had <br />no problem with the plat. M. Betts moved to approve the proposal to split <br />off a lot located on the south side of the Industrial Parkway as recorded <br />in volume 239, pages 83 and 84 of Cuyahoga County Maps and Records, <br />seconded by T._ Morgan, and unanimously approved. <br />2) Woodpath Development Sign, located on City of North Olmsted Property on <br />Gessner Road at the entrance of Woodpath Development (located in Westlake). <br />Proposal to install sign. <br />Mr. Yuich and Mr. Halpin, representing the Woodpath Garden Club, explained <br />that the sign is to be located at the entrance to the jdoodpath Development <br />on property owned by the City of North Olmsted, but it will not be in the <br />right of way. The sign will be inscribed "Taoodside", will be brick, <br />10 feet long by 5 feet high and mounted on a 6 foot footer. Zn response <br />to the Commission questions, City Engineer Cesen stated.that he believed <br />that if there were any tax valuation for a sign it would be minimal, and <br />further explained that the home owners wanted the sign at their entrance <br />on Columbia Road, but upon learning that Columbia Road was subject to <br />relocation, agreed to place it further back, closer to the Westlake line.
