e • <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />MINUTES - MAY 8, 1990 <br />I. ROLL CALL: <br />Chairman Thomas called the meeting to order at 8:00 p.m. <br />Presentt R. Bierman, B. Gorris, T. Morgan, L. Orlowski, and J. Thomas <br />Mr. Bowen arrived at 8:05 pom. <br />Also Present: Assistant Law Director Dube.lko, Building Commissioner Conway <br />Assistant City Engineer McDermott, and Clerk of Commissions <br />Oring. <br />II. REVIEW AND CORRECTION OF MINUTES: <br />T. Morgan moved to accept the minutes of April 24, 1990 as presented, <br />seconded by R. Bierman, and unanimously approved. <br />III. BUILDING DEPARTMENT REQUESTS: <br />1) Nemeth Commercial Building, 29310 to 29352 Lorain Road <br />Revised plans to construct addition to parking area. (Tabled at meeting <br />of March 27, 1990) <br />No representative was presente Chairman Thomas noted that Mr. Nemeth , <br />was informed previously that if he were absent from another meeting; <br />action would be taken on his development. B. Gorris moved that, based <br />on the fact that Mr. Nemeth did not deem it necessary to come to this <br />meeting, I move that the Nemeth Commercial Building be disappLoued. Mr. <br />Thomas stated that the motion should be made in the affirmative. B. Gorris <br />moved to approve the Nemeth Commercial Building, seconded by T. Morgan. <br />Roll call on motion: Gorris, P4organ, Bierman, Bowen, Orlowski, and <br />Thomas, zo. Motion failed to pass: Mr. Thomas stated that the plans <br />have been rejected, but that Mr. Nemeth would have the oppor*unity to <br />place his proposal on a future Planning Commission agenda, but he should <br />be informed that the Commission will expect him to be present. <br />2) Barlo. Plaza, 30572 Lorain Road <br />Proposal to construct addition to existing retail building. <br />Tabled at meeting of April 24, .1990. <br />Mr. Acciarri, architect, explained th-at the revised plans eliminate the <br />detached storage building, showing only the 5,400 square foot addition to the existing retail building. All materials will match the present <br />building and a six foot board on board fence will be installed along the <br />north and east.property lines as requested by the neighbors. Mr. Thomas <br />questioned if the row of trees along the north east corner are on this <br />property. Mr. Acciarri believed that they were on the neiglibors' pro- <br />perty, but assured him that the fence'will be installed south of these <br />trees even though it is shown on the property line. Mr. Thomas also <br />pointed out that'there was a 10 square foot area behind the building and <br />beside the parking lot that is filled with slag and old building materials <br />which tie would like.cleaned up and landscaped.
