ROLL CALL: <br />?.... ...... ..... ........... .. ...., . ..... . <br />CIiY Ur NORTH OLNLSTED <br />PLANNING COMNffSSION <br />MINUTES-OCTOBER 23, 1990 <br />Chairman Thomas called the meeting to order at 8:15 p.m. <br />Present: R. Bierman, M. Betts, R. Bowen, B. Gorris, L. Orlowski, and <br />J. Thomas Absent: T: Morgan. <br />Also Present: Assistant Law Director Dubelko, Building Conunissioner Conway, <br />City Engineer Deichmann, and Clerk of Commissions Oring. <br />II. REVIEW AND CORRECTION OF MINUTES: <br />The minutes of October 9th were corrected to show that Mr. Gorris was present. <br />M. Betts moved to approve the minutes of October 9, 1990 as corrected, <br />seconded by B. Gorris, and tmanimously approved. <br />III. BUILDING DEPARTME?i1T REQUESTS: <br />1) Suburban Auto Body, 4960.Dover Center Road <br />Proposal to construct an addition. <br />Variance and special permit granted by the Board of Zoning Appeals. <br />Heard by the Architectural Board of Review Oetober 17, 19900. " <br />Chairman Thomas advised that the forester has no problem with removing the two <br />trees on the rear of .the property. Mr. Kanareff, contractor, advised that he <br />had submitted a sight line drawing of the roof vent which shows that there <br />would be about a 7 foot hidden clearance on the roof; and that if screening is <br />still needed they would screen with a board.on board type fencing. He also <br />submitted samples of the materials to the Building Department as required by <br />the Architectural Review Board. Mr. Kanareff explained that the materials will <br />ma:tch the existing; a down light will be mounted on the building so as not to <br />effect the adjoining residents. The materials have been submitted to Mr. <br />Sohn, of the Architectural Board, however he has not reported back to the <br />Building Department. Mr. Thomas clarified that this information can be <br />forwarded to the B.Z.D. Conunittee. R. Bierman moved.to approve the proposal <br />to construct at 4960 Dover Center Road as presented and with the <br />recommendations of the Architectural Review Board and that Mr. Sohn's coirunents <br />on the materials will be forwarded to the B.Z..D. Committee, seconded by L. <br />Orlowski, and unan;mously approved. <br />2) Nutron Nameplate, 31269 Lorain Road,* <br />Proposal.to construct an addition. . <br />Variance and special permit granted by the Board of Zoning Appeals. <br />Heard.by Architectural Board of Review.October 17, 1990. <br />Mr. R. Butchko., owner, advised that they are willing.to comply with the <br />Architectural Board's suggestions that the colors be in the same range, and <br />that they have submitted samples for Mr. Sohn's approval.
