Spoerke
Also Present: Building Commissioner Conway and Clerk of Commissions
Oring.
II. REVIEW ANID CORRECTION OF MINUTES:
J. Kazak moved to approve the minutes o€ April 26, 1990 as presented,
seconded by J. Konold, and unani.mously approved.
III. COMMUNICATIONS:
No items.
N. HEARINGS:
1) Ben K. Wright, property located on the east side of Porter Road, north of
5205.
Request permission to move house from 4863 Dover Center Road to permanent
parcel 232-10-47 Porter Road. Hearing Required Ord. 62-224. Also --
request 42± squa.re foot variance for area of house (1,060 square foot
required in "B" district). Violation of Section 1334.09 of the Building
Code. (Variance also required from Board of Zoning Appeals to be heard
on July 11, 1990).
Chairman Burkk administered the oath to Mr. P. Gareau, attorney
representing Mr. Wright, and Mr. F. Hatton, neighbor. Mr. Gareau
explained that the two story brick house is now located on the east side
of Dover Center Road and Mr. Wright is proposing to move the house to the
second lot north of the business on the east side of Porter Road. Mr.
Wright also moved the house which is south of this property. The lot
onto which this house is to be moved is 85 feet wide by 115 feet deep,
and the house has an outside dimension of 1,096 square foot, but.because
it is brick on block, the livable area is about 42 square feet less than
required. He explained that a variance will also be required from the
Board of Zoning appeals and because of the depth of the lot it would
never be buildable without a variance. It was clarified that the house
was' being moved from the General Retail District to a"B" Residential
area. Mr. Hatton explained that previously there was a proposal to
rezone this property to General Retail, but it was denied. The clerk read
a letter from Rosemary Jenne, owner of the property to the rear and to
the north, advising that she has no objection to the request. Mr. Schulz
pointed out that there is an area on the rear adjacent to a room which
projects out, where an addition could be constructed to pick up the
additional square footage. Mr. Gareau advised that this would block off
1
