CITY OF NORZTi OLMSTID <br />BOARD OF.ZONING APPEALS <br />MINUTES - OCTOBIIt 3, 1990 <br />Chairman Bugala called the meeting ta order at 7:30.p,.m. <br />Present: R. Gomersall, T. Restifo, and R. Bugala <br />Absent: B. Grace and J. Helon. <br />Also Present: Law Director Gareau, Building Commissioner Conway, and Clerk of <br />Conmissions Oring. <br />In reference to the minutes of September 5th, the clerk questioned if the variance <br />granted in iten number 12, Edwin and Patricia Green, was for 658 square feet. Mr. <br />Restifo verified that it was 658 square feet. In that same item, Chairman Bugala <br />corrected the second line which should read "...encroaches on the neigbbors <br />immediately to the north of them..a" R. Gomersall moved to accept the minutes o€ <br />September 5, 1990 as corrected, seconded by T. Restifo, and uxianimously approved. <br />Chairman Bugala advised all present that there -were only three members.present at <br />this meeting, and it would take 3 affizmative votes to approve any request.. If <br />any applicant wishes to defer tmtil the next meeting, he must do so at this time, <br />not after the request has been discussed. No one requested a continuance. <br />Charles Boguski, 27593 Laurell Lane. _ Request for variance (1123.12). Request 92 square foot variance, 4 foot height <br />variance and Iocation variance to construct tool shed. Violation of Ord. 87-93, <br />Section 1135.02(d). Please note: Request continued from meeting of 12/6/89.and <br />original request for a play house above the shed.has been deleted. . <br />Chairman Bugala ca.lled a11 -interested parties before .the Board. The oath.was <br />administered to Mr. and Mrs. Boguski, and Mr. Boguski,_Senior. Law Director.Gareau <br />advised that the revised ordinance regarding sheds had .been passed erroneously <br />without being referred to the Planning Comission. This ordinance has been <br />reconsidered and passed but will not be in effect for one month. Mr. Boguski <br />believed that this plan will conform to the new ordinance. Building Comnissi-oner <br />Conway agreed that the.shed will conform. The members ha.d no problem with the <br />request. T. Restifo moved to grant Cha.rles Boguski at 27593 Laurell Lane the <br />request for a 92 square foot variance, a 4.foot height. variance, and a location <br />variance to construct a tool shed, seconded by.R. Gomersall, and unanimously <br />approved. Variances granted. <br />1. Suburban Auto Body, 4960 Dover Center Road. . <br />Request for variance (1123.12). Request 10 foot setback variance on Mill Road.. <br />(Law Department determined Mi11 Road not a side street)..Violation of Ord. 87-93 <br />Section 1139.04(b). Also request, special permit to add to non-conforming „ <br />building. Special permission required Ord. 87-93, Section 1165.02. <br />Heard by Planning Commission on September 11, 1990. <br />Chairman Bugala called all interested parties before the Board. The oath was <br />administered to Mr. Kanareff, builder, and Mr. Papotto, owner. Mr. Kanareff <br />explained that they would be constructing a 3,232 square foot "L" shaped addition_, <br />16 foot will be added along the back of the building; with a. 68 by 34 foot area <br />1
