ROLL C'.AIL: <br />Cha.irwoman Case called tYie meeting to order at 5:35 p.m. <br />Present: M. Case, T. Gallagher, M. Sohn, and B. Zergott. <br />Also Present: Building Commissioner Conway and Clerk of Commissions Oring. <br />II. REVIEW AND CORRECTION OF MINUTES: <br />B. Zergott moved to accept the minutes of Ma,rch 20, 1991 seconded by T. <br />?Gallagher, and unanimously approved. <br />III. SIGNS: <br />Heard with building plans. <br />IV. OLD BUSINESS' <br />No items. <br />V. NEW BUSINESS: <br />1) Brooklor Center, 26075 Lorain Road. <br />Proposal to construct building ancl renovation to existing shopping center. <br />Referred by Planning Commission April 9, 1991. <br />Mr. Staxk, owner, and Mr. Kline, architect, presented revised plans and <br />explained that they will be closing one drive on Lorain Road; adding green --" <br />area on Lorain and in the parking lot; constructing a building beside the Dr. <br />Irwin Jay building (and removing the old A.T.T. building); renovating the <br />front of all the existing buildings; opening up an access onto Brookpark Road <br />with landscaping at the entrance and pine trees, and grass on the Brookpark <br />right of way (the pines will act as a screen for the service area behind the <br />main building);installing a dumpster enclosure adjacent to Lorain Road which <br />will also be screened with plantings. They explained that the metal facia <br />panels (Omega-Ply) will be white; there will be dark green awnings (4048 <br />Signtec Flex-light, a vinyl with fiberglass inbedded in it); above the <br />entrances will be structures with red brick piers (Ironspot) that support the <br />signs (red witH a white background) which are surrounded by a bUrgundy metal <br />grid work (Benjamin Moore 1267). They pointed out"that the Olive Garden across <br />the street has tYie same color, combination. Mr. Sohn would like a better _ <br />balance of the piers and entrance structures. They pointed out that they are <br />somewhat limited by the existing . operiings and even though T.J. Maxx will be <br />relocating their door it must be positioned according to their interior plans. <br />After some deliberation, it was determined that the piers and structures could <br />be slightly re-arranged ancl the canopy could be extended on either side and <br />continued between the entrances. Mr. Sohn marked this on their plan in red to <br />show how it should be changed. The developers had no problem with these <br />1
