<br /> <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />BOARD OF ZONING APPEALS <br />MINUTES-DECIIHBER 11, 1991 <br />Chairman Gomersall called the meeting to order at 7:30 pem. <br />Present: J. Maloney, T. Restifo, and R. Gomersall <br />Absent: B. Grace and W. Purper <br />Also Present: Law Director Gareau, Building Commissioner Conway and Clerk of <br />Commissions Oring. <br />J. rialoney moved to accept the Minutes of November 7, 1991 as presented, seconded <br />by R. Gomersall, and unanimously approved. <br />Chairman Gomersall advised the applicants that there are only 3 members present <br />and since it takes three affirmative votes to approve a proposal, anyone who <br />wisHes to withdraw tmtil the next meeting which will be in February should do so <br />at this time. He cautioned that if a proposal is disapproved, the applicant must <br />either wait one year to re-apply or the request must be reduced by 25%. <br />Since this is the last meeting of the year, Mr. Restifo stated that on behalf of <br />himself and the other members, he would like to publicly thank Mr. Gareau, Mr. <br />Conway, and Mrs. Oring for all the help that has been given. <br />Jose h L. DeSalvo 4666 Brendan Circle. <br />Request for variance (1123a12 . Request 184 square foot variance and 5 inch <br />height variance for tool shed. Violation of Ord. 87-93, Section 1135.02(d)-1 & 3. <br />Tabled at meeting of November 7, 1991. <br />Chairman Gomersall called all interested parties before the Board. The oath was <br />administered to Mr. DeSalvo, Ms. Wasil, next door neighbor, and her father Mr. <br />Wasil. Mr. DeSalvo explained that in order to keep the gambrel roof he must still <br />request a 5 inch height variance which has been reduced from the previous 4 foot <br />variance. He explained that the shed will be stained to match his house. Ms. <br />Wasil and her father agreed that this height is more acceptable than the previous <br />request. T. Restifo moved to grant the request of Joseph L. DeSalvo at 4666 <br />Brendan Circle for a 184 square foot variance and a 5 inch height variance for a <br />tool shed, seconded by J. Maloney and tmanimously approved. Variances granted. <br />B.P. Oil Com an 23425 Lorain Rd. <br />Request for variance (1123.127. Request 22 squaxe foot variance for total sign <br />area to install 2 logos on pump canopies. Violation of Ord. 90-125, Section <br />1163a12(j). Tabled at meeting of November 7, 1991. B.P. Oil Com an25295 Lorain Rd. <br />Request for variance (1123.12). Request 22 square foot variance for total sign <br />area to install 2 logos on pump canopies. Violation of Ord. 90-125, Section <br />1163.12(j). Tabled at meeting of November 7, 1991. <br />Both cases heard together. Chairman Gomersall called all interested parties <br />before the Board. The oath was administered to Mrm Self and Mr. Hayward, sign <br />contractors representing B.P. Oil Companye Mr. Self presented elevations of the <br />signage and explained that the logos requested are the only logo allowed the <br />property. He further stated for the record, if any other type of sign (beer, <br />coke, etco) is installed that he is to be notified and the signs will be removed <br />inunediatelya Both this signage policy and the logos are part of the re-imaging <br />program to keep all stations throughout the country the same.
