CITY OF NORTEI OLMSTED <br />ARCHITECTURAL REVIEW BOARD <br />NiTNUTES--NOVIlyBER 18, 1992 <br />CONFERIlVCE ROOM--5:30 P.M. <br />I. ROLL CALL: <br />Chairman Zergott called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m. <br />Present: T. Gallagher, S. Ferencik, and B. Zergott. <br />Absent: Y. Sohn. <br />Also Present: Building Commissioner Conway and Clerk of Commissions Oring. <br />II. REVIETrd AND CORRECTION OF MINUTES <br />B. Zergott moved to approve the minutes of October 22, 1992, seconded by T. <br />Gallagher, and unanimously approved. <br />III. SIGNS: <br />No items. <br />IV. OLD BUSINESS: <br />1) Velvet Touch Car Wash, 27100 Lorain Road. <br />Proposal to change 1i;hting and modify fence. <br />Originally heard by Architectural Review Board on April 22, 1992. <br />Referred as a minor change by PlarLn;ng Comnission November 10, 1992. <br />Building Commissioner Conway advised that the person who developed the plans <br />really had two set of plans, one that was presented to him and one that was <br />given to the builder and there has been some conflicts. Mre Warren, the <br />contractor, agreed that there had been a problem and advised that this person no <br />longer works for him. He pointed out that there was a line of 8 inch caliper <br />trees along the south line and questioned if additional landscaping would be <br />required. Mr. Zergott would like to look at this and see if there should be <br />grass or ground cover. Mr. Warren agreed to do whatever was necessary. 4Mr. <br />Zergott thought that instead of just one sea green juniper in an area, there <br />should be a bed with burning bush as well, but he will look into this. Mr. <br />Warren stated that they may have to swale an area between this property and <br />Jack's Auto Body. Mr. Conway advised-that if they do this they will have to get <br />an approval from the Engineering Department. The members had no problem with the <br />change in the lights and removing a portion of the fence. B. Zergott moved to <br />accept the changes to the lighting and the fence as submitted, and that, after <br />checking the site, suggestions will be made for the landscaping along the south <br />side of the driveway coming in off Dover Center,Road for Velvet Touch Car Wash, <br />27100 Lorain Road, seconded by S. Ferencik, and unanimously approved. <br />2) Corso's (Szarka's) Restaurant, 29691 Lorain Road. _ <br />Proposal to install fence along front and side of office building on property. <br />Originally heard by Architectural Review Board on August 6, 1992. <br />Mr. Patterson, representing the owner of the business, and Mr. Ingrassia; <br />builder, presented the minor change. Nfr. Zergott stated that since he is doing. <br />some work for them he will have to abstain. They advised that they had no <br />specific plans, but they would like to install a 6 foot fence between the <br />restaurant and the house on the property and then run it across in frontof the <br />1
