The A.R.B. members had agreed that an 8 feet high mansard would be
acceptable if the Planning Commission. preferred their original recommendation,
but it should not be stepped up. The members preferred 8 feet high since there
is a concern that other businesses wi'lI be coming in with higher and higher
mansards. It was agreed that the mansard should not be stepped up. Mr. Kipp
presented -a photograph of the sign and advised that they will be sodding and
adding some low plantings around the sign. Mr. Skoulis would prefer some flowers
around it for color. The A.R.B. had suggested including flowers and Mr. Kipp had
agreed. A. Skoulis moved to approve the proposal to renovate the exterior of the
building of Thomasville Home Furnishing at 24869 Lorain Road incorporating the
recomendations of the Architectural Review Board regarding landscaping, signs,
and the doors but with the Understanding that the ma.nsard be limited to 8 feet in
height, seconded by L. Orlowski, and unanimously approved.
1
