r <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />BOARD OF ZOT]ING APPEALS <br />MINUTES-JUNE 3, 1993 <br />Chairman Gomersall called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. <br />Present: T. Koberna, J. Maloney W. Purper, and R. Gomersall. <br />Absent: B. Grace. <br />Also Present: Building Comunissioner Conway and Clerk of Commissions Oring. <br />W. Purper moved to approve the minutes of Ma.y 6, 1993, seconded by T. Koberna, <br />and unanimously approved. <br />Chairman Gomersall advised all present that the board members had viewed the <br />premises involved in each case and that 3 affirmative votes are required for <br />approval. Each case would be judged on the physical situation peculiar to itself <br />so that in no way is a judgement rendered considered to be a general policy <br />judgement affecting properties or like situations elsewhere. <br />Ilvid M. Zaccardelli, 4419 Clague Road. <br />Request for variance (1123.12). Request 461 square foot variance to construct <br />detached garage (attached garage existing). Violation of Ord. 1135.02(c)(3). <br />Variance previously granted 3/2/88 has expired. <br />Continued by applicant fron meeting of Ma.y 6th. <br />Chairman Gomersall called all interested parties before the board. The oath was <br />administered to Mr. Zaccardelli who explained that this variance had been <br />approved in 1988, but he had not constructed the garage. He needs it to store a <br />van for his handicapped daughter, and the existing attached garage contains a <br />chair lift to get her into the house. The members had no problem with this <br />request. J. Maloney moved to grant the request of Mr. Zaccardelli, 4419 Clague <br />Road, for a 461 square foot variance to construct detached garage; variance <br />previously granted on March 2, 1988 has expired, seconded by W. Purper, and <br />unanimously approved. Variances granted. <br />1. Philip P. Divis, 3711 W. 232 St. <br />Request for variance (1123.12). Request 5 foot rear yard variance to construct <br />detached garage. Violation of Ord. 90-125. Section 1135.02(c)(2). <br />Chairman Gomersall called all interested parties before the board. The oath was <br />aciministered to Mr. Divis. The members had no problem with the request. W. Purper <br />moved to grant a request to Philip P. Divis, 3711 W. 232 Street, for a 5 foot <br />rear yard variance to construct detached garage, seconded by J. Maloney and <br />unanimously approved. Variance granted. <br />2. Ohio Savings, 4570 Great Northern Boulevard. <br />Request for variance (1123.12). Request variance to relocate prohibited pole <br />sign in order to remove it from right of way. (Note: location will not conform to <br />the code pertaining to free standing signs: will not be 5 foot from right of way <br />and will be in the restricted triangular area at driveway). Also request 8 square <br />foot variance for maxinnnn allowed for total sign area. Violations of Ord. 90-125, <br />Section 1163.22 and 1163.11(a). <br />Chairman Gomersall called all interested parties before the board. The oath was <br />administered to M. Simon, representing Ohio Savings, and Mr. Holsman, sign <br />contractor. Mr. Gomersall noted that the business had been cited because the sign <br />was in the right-of-way. He advised the representatives that all pole signs must.?
