<br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ARCHITECTURAI. REVIEW BOARD <br />NIIN[JTES - JULY 19, 1995 <br />I. ROLL CALL: <br />Chairman Zergott called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m. <br />Present: T. Gallagher, S. Krieger, M. Yager, and B. Zergott <br />Also Present: Buildiug Coinmissioner Conway and Clerk of Commissions Oring. <br />The members agreed to take August as a vacation month. B. Zergott moved that the board would take <br />a vacation in August, seconded by T. Gallagher, and unauimously approved. <br />II. REVIEW AND CORRECTION OF IVIINUTES: <br />Deferred uutil the end of the meeting. <br />M. SIGNS: <br />Heard with building plans. <br />N. OLD BUSINESS: <br />No items. <br />V. NEW BUSINESS: <br />1) Laurie's Dance Studio (formerly the Doll House), 30036 Lorain Road. <br />Proposal to construct addition to the rear of the existing.bu.ilding. <br />Referred by plauning comnission June 27, 1995. <br />Heard by the board of zoning appeals July 6, 1995. <br />Ms. Kemp-Kopco, architect, and Ms. Audler, owuer, p"resented plans and pictures of the existing <br />building along with the surrounding area. Ms. Kemp-Kopco explained that they would be removing <br />some pavement iu order to have a laudscape buffer beside the parking area and that there is 200 feet of <br />open land that runs from belund the garage to the Metro Park property. The garage will be used to <br />store lawn care materials. The addition will be iu the back. There are some trees and hedges on the <br />property now, and they will be adding a small feuce adjacent to the residence and installing some <br />landscaping. The property on the other side is wooded. Ifthe wooded property is ever developed, Mr. <br />Zergott would like them put in some kind of landscape buffer. Mr. Conway stated that planning <br />coinmission was inore concerned about the residents next door, and although they could inake this <br />stipulation, no one knows what will be going in next door. 'The ovvuer is planting flowers in the front, <br />so Mr. Zergott suggested that they add some low evergreens tlus fall after the flowers die out in order <br />to add some green in the winter. These plaus show an indented area along the side, but the owner had <br />requested that the entue area be filled in. They are trying to match the 8 inch masonite lap siding on <br />the existuig building with a vinyl siding and intend to paint it all a blue (Aegean Sky-SW 1757). Mr. <br />Yager advised that if they painted the vinyl it will be harder to maintain. Ms. Kemp-Kopco responded <br />that there is ouly one vinyl siding with an 8 inch lap and it only coines in wlute. The members agreed
