? ?. ?.? .. ? CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED BOARD OF ZONING APPEALS MINUTES-AUGUST 31, 1995 Chairmau Gomersall called the meeting to order at 7:40 p.m. Present: M. Boqle, T. Kobeiua, J. Maloney, and R. Gomersall. Absent: W. Purper , Also Present: Law Director Gareau, Building Commissioner Conway and Clerk of Commissions Oring. J. Maloney moved to approve the board of zoning appeals minutes of July 27, 1995, seconded by T. Koberna, and uuauimously approved. Chairmau Gomersall advised all present that each case would be judged on the physical situation peculiar to itsel? so that iu no way is a judgment rendered considered to be a general policy judgment affecting properties and like situations elsewhere. He further stated that all the members had visited the various sites and that three votes are required for approval. Chairman Gomersall advised that item number 15 would be heard first. 15. Ameritech, 25907 C'neat Northeiu Plaza. Request for variance (1123.12). Request variance to use search light. Violation of Ord. 90-125, Sectiou 1163.14(g). Chairman Gomersall called all interested parties before the board. The oath was administered to Mr. Myers, coutractor, who explained that Ameritech only wanted the light for 1 night for their "grand opening" on Septeinber 22nd of tlus year from either 8 to 11 p.m. or 7 to 10 p.m., depending on how early it gets dark at that tune of the year. The members noted that a search light is usually allowed for a grand opeuing and agreed to 3 hours from 8 to 11 p.m. M. Boyle moved to grant the request to Ameritech, 25907 Great Northern Plaza to use a search light for a period of 3 hours, as long as the search light is uot in operation past 11:00 p.m. Violation of Ord. 90-125, Section 2263.14(g). The motion was seconded by J. Maloney aud unanimously approved. Variance granted. Valore Shopping Center Formerly kuown as 24345 (VFW) and 24319 Lorain Road. Request for variance (1123.12). Request variauce to have a portion of 6 parking spaces in front landscape buffer; request variance for loading areas which are blocking access aisles for parking spaces; request 5 foot side variance for landscape buffers on east and west side; and 5 foot rear landscape buffer for portion of "property that was 24319 Lorain Road. Violation of Ord. 90-125, Sections 1139.07; and 1139.07. Heard by Planning Commission July 11, 1995. CONTINUED FROM MEETING OF JULY 27, 1995. PLEASE NOTE: REVISED REQUEST NEVER SUBMITTED. There was uo representative present. It was decided to table the request. Law Director Gareau suggested that it be tabled without prejudice. R. Gomersall inoved to table without prejudice the Valore Shopping Center proposal, forvserly kuown as 25345 and 24319 Lorain Road, seconded by J. Maloney, aud unan'vnously approved. Request tabled.
