91V <br />? f <br />CTTY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />BOARD OF ZONiNG APPEALS <br />MINUTES - NOVEMBER 12, 1997 <br />CORRECTED <br />Chairman Gomersall called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. <br />Present: J. Maloney, T. Koberna, W. Purper, P. Miller, and R. Gomersall <br />Also present: Law Director Gareau, Assistant Building Commissioner Rymarczyk, and Clerk of <br />Commissions Oring. <br />W. Purper moved to approve the minutes of October 1, 1997 as written, seconded by J. Maloney, <br />and unauimously approved. <br />Chairman Gomersall advised that each ?case would be judged on the physical situation peculiar to <br />itselt so that in no way is a judgment rendered considered to be a general policy judgment affecting <br />properties and like situations elsewhere. He explained that it would take three affirmative votes to <br />approve a request and building permits for all variances and special permits granted may be picked up <br />Monday at the Building Department. <br />Dennis Hall, 3488 Walter Road , <br />Request for variance (1123.12). Request a two (2) foot variance for distance between the proposed <br />detached garage and the north property line. Violation of Ord. 90-125, Section 1135.02 (o-2). <br />Chairman Gomersall called all interested parties before the board. The oath was aciministered to Mr. <br />and Mrs. Hall, Mr. Gomersall noted that they had received a letter on the 23rd of September advising <br />them to stop work which they failed to do. Mr. Hall stated that because of the weather he wanted to <br />enclose the structure, to save his $1,000.00 worth of lu.mber. He clid have a permit, but the shed was <br />not installed in the location shown on the site plan. Mr. Gomersall stated that this was not a great <br />variance, but they should consider the codes if they do any more constni.ction. <br />J. Maloney moved to grant the request of Dennis Hall, 3499 Walter Road for a two (2) foot variance <br />for distance between the proposed detached garage and the north properiy line. Violation of Ord. <br />90-125, Section 1135.02 (o-2). The motion was seconded by T. Koberna, and unanimously approved. <br />Variance granted. <br />2. Hadyn Lester, 4527 Canterbiuy Road• <br />Request for variance (1123.12). Request 5 foot 6 inch variance for distance between dwellings to <br />construct addition. Also request 2 foot 6 inch variance for total side yards. <br />Violations of Ord. 90-125, Section 1135.07(a). <br />Chairman Gomersall called all interested parties before the board. The oath was administered to M.T. <br />Lester and Mr. Macalla, the contractor. The members had no problem with the request. <br />W. Purper moved to grant the request of Hadyn Lester, 4527 Canterbury Road for a 5 foot 6 inch <br />variance for distance between dwellings to construct addition. Also to grant a 2 foot 6 inch variance <br />for total side yards. Violations of Ord. 90-125, Section 1135.07(a). The motion was seconded by J. <br />Maloney, and unanimously approved. Variances granted.
