CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />1 <br />ARCHITECTURAL BOARD OF REVIEW <br />SPECIAL MEETING <br />I. ROLL CALL: <br />MINUTES - OCTOBER 6, 1986 <br />Chairwoman Case called the meeting to order at 5:00 p.m. <br />Present: J. Britton, M. Case, and D. Pattison <br />Absent: S. Ebin <br />Also Present: Clerk of Commissions B. Oring <br />II. REVIEW AND CORRECTION OF MINUTES: <br />J. Britton moved to accept the Minutes of September 17, 1986 as presented, <br />seconded by M. Case, and unanimously approved. <br />III. SIGNS: <br />1) D. 0. Summers, 28210 Lorain Road <br />Pole and wall signs (with building plans) <br />Approved as presented under New Business, Item 2. <br />IV. OLD BUSINESS: <br />No items. <br />V. NEW BUSINESS: <br />1) Great Northern Shopping Center Plaza South <br />Proposal to construct two additions.to the rear of Plaza South, adjacent <br />to Victoria Lane. <br />Mr. Carlisle, representing Biskind Development Company, presented plans for <br />the two additions and explained they will match the two shades of gray as <br />originally approved on the rear walls of the building. Mounded landscaped <br />buffers have been revised: some of the proposed landscaping will be re- <br />moved to include an additional loading area and additional landscaping will <br />be installed at other points and will actually increase the landscaping; <br />Aus.trian pines wi11 be added behind the originally approved ash trees to <br />increase the density of the'buffer areas. Ms. Grimes, representirig Country <br />Club Condominium Owners' Association, had some reservations regarding the <br />additional loading zone claiming that it would increase the anticipated <br />heavy traffic on this road. She stated that this area had been shown as <br />landscaped in the original agreement between the developers and the Condo- <br />minium Association. Mro Carlisle stated he did not believe the extra <br />loading area would increase traffic, however, the additional square footage <br />might, but pointed out that these units would now be occupied by.two tenants <br />rather than three as originally planned and that could possibly lessen the <br />truck traffic. This agreement is between the developer and the condominium <br />and they will meet privately to discuss the revisions. Mr. Carlisle is also <br />requesting - approval of changes to the front of the building which is being
