ROLL CALL: <br />Chairwoman Case called the meeting to order at 4:55 p.m. <br />Present: J. Britton, M. Case, S. Ebin, and D. Pattison <br />Also Present: B. Oring, Recording Secretary <br />IIe REVIEW AND CORRECTION OF-MINUTES; <br />S, Ebin moved to approve the Minutes of April 16, 1986 as presented, seconded <br />by J. Britton, and unanimously approved. <br />S. Ebin moved to approve the Minutes of May 21, 1986 as submitted, seconded <br />by M. Case, and unanimously approved. <br />ITi. SIGNS: <br />1) North Olmsted Beverage, south side of Lorain Rd. <br />Pole and building signs (with building plans). <br />Building signs approved as shown on plans. <br />2) Great Northern Corporate Center I, 25000 Country Club Blvd. <br />4 Ground Signs (Variance granted June 4, 1986). <br />Heard with item 3, NEW BUSINESS: S. Ebin moved to approve signs as <br />s:ubmitted, seconded by J. Britton, Ro11 call on motion: Ebin, Britton <br />and Case, STes. Mr, Pattison, abstained. <br />IV. OLD BUSINESS: <br />T) North Olmsted Beverage, south side of Lorain Rd., two lots east of <br />Wedgewood Dr. <br />Proposal to construct beverage store with drive-thru facility and video <br />shope (Disapproved by Architectural Board of Review May 21, 1986) <br />(Returned to ARB by Planning Commission June 10, 1986). <br />Mr. Kaczmarczyk and Mr. Ricchetti, des.igners, presented revised landscape <br />plans showing additional landscaping and explained that 2 large maples will <br />also be saved. Building will be a redish brown Belden brick on lower <br />portion with a channel lapped cedar (probably in a clear finish) on facia; <br />board on board fencing will enclose the bottle area; green asphalt shingles <br />will be on part of roof, flat portions will be continuous membrane and <br />rolled roofing. Ventilation for drive through area has been noted on <br />plans, and two low fans will be mounted on the roof. After some discussion <br />they.'agreed to place them behind the front gable. Other mechanical equip- <br />ment will be inside the building or in the enclosure. Overhead door <br />will be green, man-doors wi11 be glass with anoiiized bronze frames. The <br />owner plans to use pole sign which is now at his existing location. Wa11 <br />signs will be raised plastic letters in dark brown or black letter. Mrs. <br />Case is not particularly pleased with the style of the building. S. Ebin
