. ? CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED BOARD OF ZONING APPEALS MINUTES - NOVEMBER 12, 1986 Chairman Remmel called the meeting to order at 7:38 p.m. Present: R. Bugala, R. Gomersall, B. Grace, and C. Remmel Absent: J. Helon ' Also Present: Law Director M. Gareau, Building Commissioner S. Snino, and Clerk of Commissions B. O.ring. R. Bugala moved to approve the Minutes of October 6, 1986 as written, seconded by R. Gomersall, and unanimously. approved. Gerald J. LaBanc, 4496 Dover Center Rd. Request for variance (1133.13). Request 343 sq. ft. variance for garage area to install patio off existing detached garage. Violation of Ord. 62-33, Section 1151.04-C. (Continued from meeting of October 1, 1986). Chairman Remmel called all interested parties before the Board. The oath was administered to Mr. LaBanc who explained that natio will have a shed roof and a lattice on the sides. Lot is 375 feet deep. R. Grace moved to anprove the request for a variance for 343 square foot for garage area to install a patio on the existing detached garage for Gerald J. LaBanc, 4496 Dover Center Rd., seconded by R. Gomersall, and unanimously approved. Variance granted. S. Katonka, 23197 Marion Rd. Request for variance (1133.13). Request 16' front set back variance for- foyer and patio addition. Violation of Ord. 62-33, Section 1159.01. :(Continued from the meeting of October 1, 1986). Chairman Remmel called all interested parties before the Board. The oath was administered to Mr. Katonka. Chairman Remmel questioned why vestibule was almost completed. Mr. Kat.onka claimed that an inspector told him that he could go ahead with it. Building Commissioner will check on this. Front set back is non-conforming and a special permit will be required but this is only a 6 foot encroachment. R. Gomersall moved to grant the special permit and the request for a 16' front set b ack variance for foyer and patio addi- tion for Mr. S. Katonka, 23197 Marion Road, seconded by C. Remmel, and unani- mously approved. Variance and special permit granted. 1. Tom Rosenb aum, 25734 Kennedy Ridge Rd. Request for variance (1133.13). Request 7.5 foot variance for distance between second story addition (over existing uorch) and detached garage. Violation of Ord. 62-33, Section 1151.04-C. Also request special permit to add to non-conforming dwelling (front set back). Special permission required Ord. 62-33, Section 1231.02. Chairman Remmel called all interested parties before the Board. The oath was administered to Mr. Rbsenbaum who explained that the second story would be over a dining room, not,the porch as,stated on agenda. Board has.no objection to request. B. Grace moved to approve the request for Tom Rosenbaum, 25734 Kennedy Ridge Rd. for 7.5 foot variance for distance between second story
