, <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />BOARD OF ZONING APPEALS <br />MINUTES - SEPTEMBER 3, 1986 <br />Chairman Retnmel called the meeting to order at 7:40 p.m. <br />Present: R. Bugala, R. Gomersall, B. Grace, J. Helon, and C. Remmel <br />(Mr. Grace, a new member, was sworn in previosuly by Mayor <br />Petrigac) <br />Also Present: Law Director M. Gareau, Building Commissioner S. Spino, <br />and Clerk of Commissions B. Oring R. Gomersall moved to approve the Minutes of July 2, 1986 as presented, <br />seconded by R. Grace, and unanimously approved. <br />Due to the resignation of Mr. Graves, Chairman Remmel announced that the <br />election of a Vice-Chairman was necessary. C. Remmel moved to nominate <br />R. Bugala as Vice-Chairman, seconded by J. Helon. No other nominations <br />were made. Mr. Bugala was elected Vice-Chairman unanimously. <br />Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Menefee, 6173 Wild Oak Dr. <br />Request for variance (1133.13). Request 12' rear yard variance (corrected <br />request) for patio enclosure. Violation of Ord. 62-33, Section 1163.01. <br />(Tabled at meeting of July 2, 1986). <br />Chairman Remmel called all interested parties before the Board. The oath <br />was administered to Mr. Menefee and Mr. Round, contractor. Mr. Remmel ex- <br />plained that this was continued from the last meeting because there were <br />some questions as to the rear yard set back. The Building Department has <br />checked and thq variance they are now requesting has been reduced to 12'. <br />Board had no questions on the proposal. R. Bugala moved to grant the <br />request for a 12' rear yard variance at 6173 Wild Oak Dr., seconded by R. <br />Gomersall. Roll call on motion: Bugala, Gomersall, Grace, and Helon, No. <br />Mr. Remmel, Yes. Motion failed to pass.; Vari•ance denied. <br />l. William L. Wolfe, 5672 Whitehaven . <br />Request for variance (1133.13). Request variance for above ground swimming • <br />pool (instal'led) which is less than 10 feet from property line and from <br />dwelling. Violation of Ord. 62-33, Section 1151.01-E. <br />Chairman Remmel called all interested parties before the Board. The oath <br />was administered to Mr. and Mrs. Wolfe. Chairman Remmel stated that the <br />pool was practically on the street and that there is no fence, only chicken <br />wire. Mrs. Wolfe advised that they had put the wire up temporarily and <br />will install a fence later. R. Bugala moved to provide the variance for <br />the above ground pool at 5672 Whitehaven, seconded by B. Grace. Roll call <br />on motion: Bugala, Gomersall, Helon, and Remmel, no. Mr. Grace, yes. <br />Motion failed to pass. Variance denied. <br />2. Harry G. Koenning, 26926 Butternut Ridge Rd. <br />Request for variance (1133.13). Request 228 sq. ft. variance for garage <br />addition. Violation of Ord. 62-33, Section 1151.04-C. Also request 6" side <br />yard variance: Violation of Ord. 62-33, Section 1151.04-C.
