NORTH OLMSTED LANDMARKS COMMISSION MINUTES OF NOVEMBER 20,1986 Meeting MEMBERS PRESENT: Sharon Fleming, Chairperson, Bob Perry, Betty Lord, Mike Patton, Julia Brown, Gloria Sell, John Lang and Lois Van Auken. The Meeting was called to order at 8:05pm by Sharon Eleming, and she presented the following AGENDA for the meeting: AGENDA I Minutes II. Correspondence III Old Business . ' '.: a) 1986 Budget b) Butternut Ridge Road Historic District Signs IV New Business MINUTES The minutes form the September meeting were read and accepted pending corrections. CORRESPONDENCE The Nafiional Historic Preservation Society is planning to celebrate the 20th ariniversary of the National Historic Preservation act. OLD BUSINSESS Questions arose concerning the National Register Grant. Photographs and street sketches were sent in Last January. Bob Perry reported that he sent the materials in and that he was in correspondence with the National Register and that he woulcl look into the matter and report back to the N.O.L.C. . a) 1986,budget There is $ 973.00 in the 1986 Budget as of 9-30-86. Pursuant to a prior motion the N.O.L.C. voted to expend funds to purchase 18 Plaques. The Mayor. has already signed a requisition order for the 18 Plaques. The amount of the requi- sition was for $810.00 . This expenditure should just about ex- haust the 1986 Budget. It was suggested that the balance of the 1986 budget should be spent as follows: 1) 3 additional Plaques for a total of $135.00, & 2) 2 date strips for a total of $20.00. b) BUTERNUT HISTORIC DISTRICT SIGNS T11e following have been contacted concerning the construction of the Butternut Ridge Road Historic District Signs: 1) BAY CRAFTERS A Mr.. Don Bauer was interested in con- tracting to construct the signs. He is in the process of making some sketches and preparing some estimates. -1-
