. • <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />MINUTES - JUNE 24, 1986 <br />I. ROLL CALL: <br />Chairman Burns called the meeting to order at 8:12 p.m. <br />R. Bierman <br />Present: J-.-Bn-ra, Ef. Traczyk, J. Wixted, J. Brown, and J. Burns <br />Mr. Morgan arrived at 8:43 p.m. <br />Absent: B. Gorris <br />Also Present: Assistant Law Director J. Dubelko, City Engineer J. Schaller, <br />Building Commissioner S. Spino, Councilwoman J. Saringer <br />and Recording Secretary B. Oring. <br />II. REVIEW AND CORRECTION OF MINUTES: <br />J. Wixted moved to approve the Minutes of June 10, 1986 as submitted, <br />seconded by E. Traczyk, and unanimously approved. <br />III, BUILDING DEPARTMENT REQUESTS: <br />1) Meineke Discount Muffler Shops, Inc., east of Forest City Auto Parts <br />on the south side of Lorain Road, <br />Proposal to construct muffler shop. (Withdrawn from meeting of April 8, <br />1986)(Variance granted for subdivision June 4, 1986). <br />Mr. Dadian, the owner, Mr. Bursken of Cleveland Electric Illiuninating Com- <br />pany, and the contractor, presented the revised plans which reflect the <br />conditions required by the Board of Zoning Appeals for the variance to sub- <br />divide the property. Mr. Bursten explained that they were splitting off <br />the rear portion of the property and combining it with their other pro- <br />perty in order to install a driveway onto David Drive. Front portion of <br />the property will be used for the site of Meineke Discount Muffler Shop. <br />Variance was granted on the condition that the garage daors face the longer <br />side line of the property; that a IO' green space be installed adjacent to <br />Lorain Road and should consist of shrubs and grass, and pole sign must be <br />centered in this landscaped area; front set back parking spaces must be up <br />against the building. He also advised tliatsome landscaping will be instal- <br />led the west side of drive and the dumpster will be enclosed. Twelve park- <br />ing spaces are planned and conform to code. J. Wixted moved to refer the <br />Meinke Discount Muffler Shop proposal, east of Forest City Auto Parts, on <br />the south side of Lorain Road to the Architectural Board of Review for . <br />their input and suggestions, to the Engineering Department and the Safety <br />Department for their review, seconded by R. Bierman, and unanimously ap- <br />proved. (Motion to approve sub.division made at this point-see Section IV, <br />item 1). <br />2) North Olmsted Beverage, south side of Lorain Rd., two lots east of Wedgewood <br />Drive. <br />Proposal to construct beverage store with drive-thru facility and video <br />shop. (Heard by Architectural Board of Review June 18, 1986)
