<br />Y - <br /> <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />MINUTES - MAY 27, 1986 <br />I. ROLL CALL: <br />Chairman Burns called the meeting to order at 8:15 p.m. <br />Present: R. Bierman, E. Traczyk, J. Wixted, J. Brown, and J. Burns <br />Mr. Gorris arrived at 9:10 p.m. <br />Absent: T. Morgan <br />Also present: Assistant Law Director J. Dubelko, Building Commissioner S. <br />Spino, Councilmembers Tallon and 0'Grady, and Recording <br />Secretary B. Oring. <br />II. REVIEW AND CORRECTION OF MINUTES: <br />E. Traczyk moved to approve the Minutes of May 13, 1986 as presented, <br />seconded by R. Bierman, and unanimously approved. <br />III. BUILDING DEPARTMENT REQUESTSa <br />Chairman Burns announced that item 3, Public Storage, Inc., had been with- <br />drawn from the agenda by the developer. <br />1) North Olmsted Beverage, south side of Lorain Rd. two lots east of <br />Wedgewood Dr. <br />Proposal to construct beverage store with drive thru facility and video <br />shop. (Disapproved by Architectural Board of Review May 21, 1986). <br />Mr. Kazimarck and Mr. Ricchetti, designers, presented samples of mater- <br />ials and revised plans showing landscaping with low shrubs, ground cover, <br />and grass, widened exit drive to accommodate 2 lanes; additional front <br />lavatory plumbing roughed in, in case additional facility is required <br />later; exhaust fan in drive through area is noted on plans. They pre- <br />sented samples of materials which had not been available for the Archi- <br />tectural Board: redish brown brick, natural cedar facia and green asphalt <br />shingles for the roof. They explained that light fixtures on building <br />will be red (not green as stated to the Architectural Board) and will be <br />directed down. Overhead door will be anodized brown. Dumpster will be <br />enclosed with a wood fence and gate but no fencing is planned for rear <br />property line, some shrubs are existing there now. Safety Department <br />had no objection to plans, but the Fire Department had advised that <br />exit and emergency lighting would be required. Parking is now shown <br />on rear lot line, and Mr. Kazimarck explained that this was for future <br />expansion, and 19 spaces are to be installed at present. Building Com- <br />missioner Spino advised that only 1 curb cut would be required with 19 <br />spaces and that 20 space97or over require 2 curb cuts. Building will <br />be on two separate sublots and an assembly plat will be required. <br />Commission discussed returning the the Architectural Board. Assistant <br />Law Director Dubelko stated that he has concerns about proposal not <br />getting approval from the Architectural Board of Review, even though
