ROLL CALL: <br />Chairwoman Case called the meeting to order at 4:00 p,m. <br />Present: M. Case, J. Cavaluchi, S. Ebin, and R. Mongello.. <br />A1so Present: B. Oring, Recording Secretary <br />II. REVTEW AND CORRECTION OF MINUTES: <br />The"Minutes o£ September 18, 1985 were not reviewed. <br />TIT. SfiGNS: <br />a) Tndustrial Electric Co, (Hi-Lite Maintenance, Inc.), 25151 Lorain Rd. <br />Proposal to install wall signs. <br />(Hearing required by tfie Architectural Board of Review on January 16, <br />and August 21, 1985). <br />Mr. Wilkes, Hi-Lite Maintenance, presented two black and white wall <br />signs which do conform to code. J. Cavaluchi moved to accept the sign- <br />age as submitted, seconded by M. Case. Roll call on motion: Cavaluchi, <br />Case, and Etiin, Yes. Mr. TIongello, abstained, <br />IV. OLD BUSINESS: <br />a) Great Northern Retail Shopping Plaza (Keeva J. Kekst), located between <br />Pick and Pay and Ameritrust Drive-thru office <br />(Referred by Planning Commission October 9, 1984) <br />(Withdrawn from Architectural Board of Review Agenda April 17, 1985): <br />Mr. Carlisle, Biskind Development Co, presented revised plans for the. <br />strip shopping center. Material will be dryvit in a salmon pink and an <br />off white. Board has no problem with the design which will tie in with <br />future buildings. Mr. Ebin would like parapet to be high enough to <br />screen any mechanical units. There will be neon signs above each unit, <br />but no criteria has been set up by the developer as yet. Sign package <br />will be presented later. S. Ebin moved to approve the plans as submitted, <br />providing that the-cnechanical units are screened by a horizontal line <br />from any direction, seconded by M. Case, and unanimously approved. Mr. <br />Carlisle will be making an informal presentation of a newly proposed <br />strip center which is planned for parcel D after the meeting is over. <br />V. NEW BUSINESS: <br />a) Joe Ge-orge, 24532 Lorain Rd. <br />Change of occupancy to use existing building as an auto body shop and <br />proposal to construct an addition. <br />(Referred by Planning Commission October 8, 1985).
