CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED BOARD OF ZONING APPEALS MINUTES - OCTOBER 3, 1984 Chairman Remmel called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. Present: R. Bugala, E. Graves, J. Helon, and C. Remrsel Also Present: Law Director M. Gareau, Building Commissioner E. Gundy and Recording Secretary B. Oring. E. Graves moved to approve the Minutes of September 5, 1984 as published, seconded by R. Bugala, and unanimously approved. Ernest Csire, 24216 Rosita Lane Request for variance (1133.13). Request 2'6" variance for addition. Vio- lation o.f-Ord. 62-33, Section 1163.01. Also request 1' variance for dis- tance between addition and garage. Violation of Ord. 62-33, Section 1151.04-C. (Continued from September 5, 1984). Chairman Remmel called all interested parties before the Board. The oath was administered to Mr. and Mrs. Csire and Mr. Francen, contractor. Re- ?vised plan now reflects suggestion made at last meeting. E. Graves moved to grant the 216" rear yard variance and the 1' variance for distance be- tween addition and garage, seconded by C. Remmel, and unanimously approved. Variances approved. 1. Crestmont Toyota Porsch Audi, 26890 Lorain Rd. Request for variance (1133.13). Request variance to place third pole sign on property. Violation of Ord. 62-33, Section 1221.068-4. (Variance granted for second pole sign April 7, 1982). Chairman Remmel called all interested parties before the Board. The oath was administered to Mr. Brugh, the manager of Crestmont, who explained that Porch and Audi are splitting their distributorship, and Crestmont now has -a separate franchise for each and thus are required to have separate signs. ' They would be willing to extend pole and place two separate 4' x 8' signs on same pole. Existing sign is now 4' x 81. It was suggested that if the 2 signs equaling 4' x 8' were installed, no variance would be required or that a wall sign could be used to identify one of the franchises. C. Remmel moved to grant the variance, seconded by E. Graves. Roll call on motion: Remmel, Graves, Bugala, and Helon, Nay. Motion failed to pass. Variance denied. 2. Carl C. Beck, 24615 P4aple Ridge Rd. Request for variance (1133.13). Request 7' variance for distance between house and garage. Violation of Ord. 62-33, Section 1151.04-C. Also re- quest special permit to add to non-conforming dwelling (front set back). Special permission required Ord. 62-33, Section 1231.02.
