? <br />T, <br /> <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />MINUTES - JUNE 12, 1984 <br />1. ROLL CALL: <br />Chairman Morgan called the meeting to order at 8:00 p.m. <br />Present: J. Burns, B. Gorris, J. Roberts, E. Traczyk, J. Wixted, and <br />T. Morgan <br />Absent: J. Brown <br />Also Present: Assistant Law Director J. Dubelko, Building Commissioner E. <br />Gundy, Assistant City Engineer D. McDermott and Recording <br />Secretary B. Oring. <br />II. REVIEW AND CORRECTION OF MINUTES: <br />B. Gorris moved to approve the Minutes of May 22, 1984 as submitted, seconded <br />by J. Wixted, and unanimously approved. <br />III. BUILDING DEPARTMENT REQUESTS: <br />1) Laurel's Restaurant, 23642 Lorain Rd. <br />Proposal to construct additions <br />Building Commissioner Gundy explained that the two additions will be <br />used for vestibule and office space and that no additional parking will <br />be required. The owner explained that there is a rear entrance, how- <br />ever, there is no room for patrons to wait prior to seating. Mr. Roberts <br />had concerns about distance between_addition and retaining wall. The <br />owner stated that there would be approximately 5 feet between, however <br />he will stake out addition so that Mr. Roberts arid Mr. Morgan can make <br />site inspection. B. Gorris moved to refer Laurels Restaurant proposal <br />to the Architectural Board of Review, seconded by J. Burns, and unani- <br />mously approved. <br />IV. NEW DEVELOPMENTS AND SUSDIVISIONS: <br />1) Siscorp Assembly Plat, <br />Located at the riortheast corner of Ranchview Ave. and Lorain Road, <br />and consists of combining two (2) parcels, 232-34-10 and 232-34=11 <br />into one (1) lot, which is the site of proposed Sisters Chicken and <br />Biscuits, approved by Planning Commission on May 22, 1984. <br />Assistant City Engineer D. McDermott presented the plat joining the <br />two lots. Mr. Burns is concerned that assembly may not be legal since <br />Siscorp only has an option on the, property at this time. Mr. McDermott <br />explained that the linen would not be signed nor assembly recorded <br />until property transfers. J. Roberts moved to approve the combining <br />of parcels 232-34-10 and 232-34-11 into one lot for the proposed Sisters
