r <br />7 <br />. . / <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ARCHITECTURAL BOARD OF REVIEW <br />MINUTES - OCTOBER 17, 1984 <br />I. ROLL CALL: <br />Chairwoman Case called the meeting to order at 4:00 p.m. <br />Present: M. Case, J. Cavaluchi, and S. Ebin <br />Absent: R. Mongello <br />Also Present; Recording Secretary B. Oring <br />II. REVIEW AND CORRECTION OF MINUTES: <br />S. Ebin moved to approve the Minutes of September 19, 1984 as presented, <br />seconded by J. Cavaluchi, and unanimously approved. <br />III. SIGNS: <br />With building plans <br />IV. OLD BUSINESS: <br />a) Eyeworks, Inc., 26127 Lorain Rd. <br />No representative present; heard later in meeting <br />V. NEW BUSINESS: <br />a) Motorists Mutual Insurance Co., approximately 28111 Lorain Rd. <br />(south side of Lorain, one 1ot east of McKenzie Rd.) <br />Proposal to construct drive-in claims office. <br />Mr. Keltner and Mr. Meadows of Motorists Mutual and Mr. Hague, Architect, <br />explained that building will be red brick with dark bronze trim, and a <br />multi-brown earth tone roof. Driveway onto McKenzie has been moved 7' <br />away from fence on property line adjacent to a residence and viburnum <br />will be planted along fence. Two existing trees will remain on property <br />and rest will be landscaped with seeded grass; shrubs, and trees. No <br />building sign is planned. A low ground sign will be dark bronze with <br />white internally illuminated letters, wiring will be underground; a dir- <br />ectional sign at McKenzie Road entrance will be the same colors and ma- <br />terials, but will not be lighted. S. Ebin moved to approve building <br />plans as submitted, seconded by J. Cavaluchi, and unanimously approved. <br />S. Ebin moved to approve the ground sign and directional sign as sub- <br />mitted providing that they meet the area restrictions of the ordinances, <br />seconded by J. Cavaluchi, and unanimously approved. <br />IV. OLD BUSINESS: (heard at this point) <br />a) Eyeworks, Inc., 26127 Lorain Rd. <br />Screening for mechanical units (required by Board June 20, 1984) <br />Drawing mailed previously
