. 't <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />MINUTES - MARCH 22, 1983 <br />I. ROLL CALL: <br />Chairman Morgan called the meeting to order at 8:00 p.m. <br />Present: J. Burns, B. Gorris, J. Roberts, J. Wixted, J. Brown <br />and T. Morgan <br />Also Present: Assistant Law Director J. Dubelko, Building Com- <br />missioner E. Gundy, Assistant City Engineer D. <br />McDermott, Councilman Woerpel, and Recording <br />Secretary B. Oring <br />II. REVIEW AND CORRECTION OF MINUTES: <br />B. Gorris moved to approve the Minutes of March 8, 1983 as sub- <br />mitted, seconded by J. Roberts, and unanimously approved. <br />III. BUILDING DEPARTMENT REQUESTS: <br />(a) Springvale Country Club and North Olmsted Golf Course Sign (Ord. <br />83-14), Located in right-of-way at corner of Canterbury Rd. and <br />Butternut Ridge. <br />Approval of sign required by License Agreement. <br />Building Comnissioner Gundy stated he had reviewed the sign <br />under section 1221.07, Development signs. The members reviewed <br />both the license and ordinance. Mr. Scheeff and Mr. Yesberger <br />explained that the sign would be wired underground, and have a <br />planter defined by railroad ties with-atree planted in the cen- <br />ter, a roof will cover the structure, and Canterbury Road will <br />be noted on the facia for:.identification. The sign will be <br />located so as not to interfere•.with visability. The commission <br />would like to see a site-plan showing the exact location of-the <br />sign and a cross section drawing of the structure. J. Roberts <br />moved to refer the Springvale/North Olmsted Country Club sign to <br />the Architectural Board of Review, and request that a site lo- <br />cation be presented to the Planning Commission, seconded by B. <br />Gorris, and unanimously approved. The commission will request <br />that the Safety Department review the site after the plan is <br />submitted. <br />(b) Sears Cleaners (Sundial Management), 5000 Great Northern Mall <br />Proposal to alter existing storage area to dry cleaning store. <br />Originally heard by Planning Commission September 14, 1982. <br />Tabled at Architectural Board of Review September 22, 1982. <br />Approved by the Architectural Board of Review March 16, 1983. <br />No representative was present. The commission reviewed the plans <br />and the previous minutes. There were questions pertaining to
