ROLL CALL: <br />Chairman Morgan called the meeting to order at 8:00 p.m. <br />Present: J. Burns, B. Gorris, J. Roberts, J. Wixted, J. Brown, <br />and T. Morgan. <br />Also Present:. Assistant Law Director J. Dubelko, Building Commis- <br />sioner E. Gundy, Assistant Law Director D. McDermott, <br />Councilman D. Woerpel, and Recording Secretary B. Oring. <br />II.' REVIEW AND CORRECTION.OF MINUTES: <br />J. Burns moved to approve the Minutes of June 14, 1983 as presented, <br />seconded by J. Roberts, and unanimously approved. <br />III. BUILDING DEPARTMENT REQUESTS: <br />(1) Sopata Construction Co., 24834 Lorain Rd. <br />Proposal to alter dwelling for office and construct addition <br />for garage. Wall sign with building plans. <br />Approved by the Architectural Board of Review June 22, 1983. <br />Mr. Sopata and Architect C. Petroski presented a madel of the <br />proposed renovation and addition. Plans had been approved as <br />presented by the Architectural Board of Review. Mr. Petroski <br />stated the the high berm in front of building will be cut down. <br />Mr. Sopata is a general contractor and no heavy construction <br />equipment will be stored on the property. Drive will be re- <br />located to west side of property. Engineering will review <br />final drainage plans; it has been established that there is a <br />tie in to existing sewers. Sign is raised letters on building. <br />B. Gorris moved to approve the Sopata Construction plans in- <br />cluding the sign as submitted, seconded by J. Burns, and uanai- <br />mously approved. (2) House of Lights, property between 23905 and 24401 Lorain Rd. <br />Proposal to construct salesroom and warehouse <br />Approved by the Anccitectural Board of Review June 22, 1983. <br />Architect R. Kluchin presented the plans. Only recommendation <br />of the Architectural Board was to make sure mechanical units <br />are screened from street.. Pole and wall sign had been approved <br />as presented. Assistant Engineer McDermott advised Mr. Kluchin <br />that the lots involved would-have to be assembled through Plan- <br />ning Commission and drainage plan will have to be reviewed. <br />The Safety Department has no objections to the proposal. J.. <br />Brown moved to approve the House of Lights proposal located be- <br />tween 23905 and 24401 Lorain Rd. as submitted with the under- <br />standing that the property must be assembled as stipulated by
