? ?. <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />MINLTTES - NOVEMBER 10, 1983 <br />Prior to meeting Councilman Woerpel addressed the Commission ad- <br />vising that the BZD Committee has talked with Mongello and Asso- <br />ciates regarding traffic problems that will occur with construction <br />of office building. Mr. Mongello has agreed to eliminate one drive- <br />way and reduce the size of the building in order to widen the re- <br />maining drive. Great Northern Dodge (tabled at.Planning Commission <br />meeting of October 25, 1983) requested that Council approve plans. <br />Was advised that,although there were no problems with plans, pro- <br />posal would have to be heard by the Planning Commission. Council- <br />man Woerpel advised that he has requested legislation for the fol- <br />lowing: (1) prohibiting internal illumination of poles on pole <br />signs, (2) permitting luxury hotels in the Mixed Use District, and <br />(3) prohibiting Board of Zoning Appeals from granting variances <br />that,in effect, plat land. I. ROLL CALL: <br /> <br />Chairman Morgan called the meeting to order at 8:05p.m. <br />Mrs. Eileen Traczyk, the new member, had been sworn in previously, <br />and was introduced to the Commission. <br />Present: J. Burns, J. Roberts, E. Traczyk, and T. Morgan <br />Mr. Gorris arrived at 8:15 p.m. <br />Absent: J. Brown and J. Wixted. <br />Also present: Assistant Law Director J. Dubelko, Building Commissioner <br />E. Gundy, Assistant City Engineer D. McDermott and <br />Recording Secretary B. Oring <br />II. REVIEW AND CORRECTION OF MINUTES: <br />J. Burns moved to approve the Minutes of October 25, 1983 as submitted, <br />seconded by J. Roberts, and unanimously approved. <br />III. BUILDING DEPARTMENT REQUESTS: <br />1. Great Northern Dodge, 26100 Lorain Rd. <br />Proposal to construct detached building for body shop and parts <br />store on existing dealership property. <br />Heard by the Architectural Board of Review on October 19, 1983. <br />Tabled by Planning Commission October 25, 1983. <br />These are revised plans, building will remain the same but will <br />be moved 90° so that the length of the structure will be parallel <br />with rear property line. Architectural Board of Review approved <br />original plan. Building Commissioner Gundy advised Mr. Henninger, <br />the contractor, that parking area will have to be paved and reten- <br />tion system will be required by the Engineering Department. It
