. <br />Q. <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />MINUTES - FEBRUARY 22, 1982 <br />I. ROLL CALL: <br />Chairman Gorris called the meeting to order at 8:05 p.m. <br />Present: J. Burns, T. Morgan, J. Roberts, J. Brown, and B. Gorris <br />Absent: R. Perla and J. Prokasy <br />Also Present: Assistant Law Director J. Dubelko, Building Commissioner <br />E. Gundy, Assistant City Engineer D. McDermott, and <br />Recording Secretary B. Oring. <br />II. REVIEW AND CORRECTION OF MINUTES: <br />Correct the Minutes of February 9, 1982 to read "Chairman Gorris <br />called the meeting to order at 8:10 p.m. J. Roberts moved to <br />approve the Minutes of February 9, 1982 as corrected, seconded <br />by J. Burns, and unanimously approved. <br />III. BUILDING DEPARTMENT REQUESTS: <br />(1) Signs: <br />The signs were discussed in conjunction with the Archi- <br />tectural Board of Review Minutes of February 15, 1982. <br />The members read the variance granted by the Board of <br />Zoning Appeals for the signs of Owens Air Conditioning and <br />Heating and H V A C Supply for total sign area and over- <br />sized pole sign. These signs are to be placed on the top <br />of the Rent-A-Heep sign. Building Commiss'ioner Gundy ad- <br />vised that the height of the sign would still conform to <br />the height restrictions of the Ordinance. The Commission <br />agreed that the telephone number on the signs was not ac- <br />ceptable, however, a variance had been granted and the <br />Architectural Board had approved both signs as presented. <br />Mr. Justice of Owens and H V A C explained that they had <br />reduced the size of the signs from the original request, <br />and that there was not enough space to include the address <br />so the telephone numbers were extremely important to them. <br />T. Morgan moved that the Water Bed City Sign and the God- <br />father Pizza Sign be accepted as approved by the Architec- <br />tural Board of Review on February 15, 1982, and also, ap- <br />prove the Owens Air Conditioning and Heating Sign and the <br />H V A C Supply sign as approved by the Architectural <br />Board of Review but with the recommendation that the copy <br />of the sign be redesigned, specifically to eliminate the <br />large phone numbers in the upper right hand corner of the <br />signs,seconded by J. Brown, and unanimously approved.
