ROLL CALL: <br />Chairman Gorris called the meeting to order at 8:10 p.m. <br />Present: J. Burns, T. Morgan, J. Roberts, J. Brown, and B. Gorris <br />Absent: R. Perla and J. Prokasy <br />Also Present: Assistant Law Director J. Dubelko, Building Commissioner <br />E. Gundy, Assistant City Engineer D. McDermott and <br />Recording Secretary B. Oring <br />II. REVIEW AND CORRECTION OF MINUTES: <br />T. Morgan moved to approve the Plinutes of June 22, 1982, seconded by <br />J. Burns, and unanimously approved. <br />III. BUILDING DEPARTMENT REQUESTS: <br />(1) Roppo's Hair Salon, 4905 Dover Center Rd. <br />Proposal for exterior alteration and remodeling of <br />existing dwelling. <br />Building Comznissioner Gundy and Mr. Roppo explained the plans <br />for the remodeling. As many trees will be left as possible. <br />Mr. Roberts observed that there is no sidewalk on that side <br />of the street. Parking conforms to code. Assistant City <br />Engineer D. McDermott advised that the retention system <br />would have to be revised, a larger pipe will be required, <br />and also this proposal must be in conformance with the new <br />improvement plans for pover Center Road. J. Roberts moved <br />to refer to the Architectural Board of Review and to the <br />City Engineering Deparmtnet for their report, seconded by <br />T. Morgan, and unanimously approved. <br />(2) Lorain American (Marco., Inc.), 27830 Lorain Rd. <br />Proposal to construct an addition to existing gas station <br />Building Commissioner Gundy and Mr. A. Cools explained the <br />plans for the 520 sq. foot brick addition for 1 repair bay <br />and storage area. Mr. Gundy advised that the building will <br />conform to code. Mr. Cook explained that this was the first <br />phase of planned upgrading of the property and will be con- <br />structed by Total Building Co. Mrs. Jordan, who owns the <br />property to the rear? complained about the condition of the <br />lot which is littered with junk cars, car parts, and a truck <br />which is used for storage.
