. ?. a - ?, CIT'Y OF NORTH OLMSTED PLANNING COMMISSION MINUTES - JULY 13, 1982 I. ROLL CALL: Chairman Gorris called the meeting to order at 8:10 p.m. Present: J. Burns, T. Morgan, J. Roberts, J. Brown, and B. Gorris Absent: R. Perla and J. Prokasy Also Present: Assistant Law Director J. Dubelko, Building Commissioner E. Gundy, Assistant City Engineer D. McDermott and Recording Secretary B. Oring II. REVIEW AND CORRECTION OF MINUTES: T. Morgan moved to approve the Plinutes of June 22, 1982, seconded by J. Burns, and unanimously approved. III. BUILDING DEPARTMENT REQUESTS: (1) Roppo's Hair Salon, 4905 Dover Center Rd. Proposal for exterior alteration and remodeling of existing dwelling. Building Comznissioner Gundy and Mr. Roppo explained the plans for the remodeling. As many trees will be left as possible. Mr. Roberts observed that there is no sidewalk on that side of the street. Parking conforms to code. Assistant City Engineer D. McDermott advised that the retention system would have to be revised, a larger pipe will be required, and also this proposal must be in conformance with the new improvement plans for pover Center Road. J. Roberts moved to refer to the Architectural Board of Review and to the City Engineering Deparmtnet for their report, seconded by T. Morgan, and unanimously approved. (2) Lorain American (Marco., Inc.), 27830 Lorain Rd. Proposal to construct an addition to existing gas station Building Commissioner Gundy and Mr. A. Cools explained the plans for the 520 sq. foot brick addition for 1 repair bay and storage area. Mr. Gundy advised that the building will conform to code. Mr. Cook explained that this was the first phase of planned upgrading of the property and will be con- structed by Total Building Co. Mrs. Jordan, who owns the property to the rear? complained about the condition of the lot which is littered with junk cars, car parts, and a truck which is used for storage.
