O' <br />t <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED ' <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />MINUTES - JULY 27, 1982 <br />1. ROLL CALL: <br />Chairman Gorris called the meeting to order at 8.:00 p.m. <br />9 <br />Present: J. Burns, T. Morgan, R. Perla, J. Roberts, J. Brown, and <br />B. Gorris <br />Absent: J. Prokasy <br />Also Present: Assistant Law Director J. Dubelko, Building Commissioner <br />E. Gundy, Assistant City Engineer D. McDermott, Council- <br />man R. Bierman, and Recording Secretary B. Oring <br />II. REVIEW AND CORRECTION OF MINUTES: <br />J. Roberts moved to approve the Minutes of July 13, 1982 as submitted, <br />seconded by T. Morgan, and unanimously approved. <br />III. BUILDING DEPARTMENT REQUESTS: <br />(1) Signs: Heard by the Architectural Board of Review July 21, 1982 <br />The signs were studied and discussed in conjunction with the <br />Architectural Board:•s Minutes. In reference to the recommendation <br />regarding the electrical service of the Rapid Rabbit.sign, C. <br />Hixson, Bob Cutler Signs, advised that the sign is wired from <br />overhead. The Commission agreed that to bring the electricity <br />in from underground would be costly. Mr. Morgan suggested that <br />the BZD Committee look into the Architectural's Boards suggestion <br />that the wiring be underground. R. Perla moved to approve :the <br />signs (a & b) as submitted by the Cutler Sign Co., seconded by <br />T. Morgan, and unanimously approved. <br />(2) Heyduk Florists, 25024 Lorain Rd. <br />Proposal for addition and alteration <br />Mr. E. Heyduk explained that approximately 16' to 18'. of the <br />existing canopy will be removed and the remainder will be re- <br />modeled and a second story will be added to the existing store. <br />The parking area will remain the same, but planters may be <br />added. J. Brown moved to refer the Heyduk Florists proposal <br />to the Architectural Board of Review, seconded by R. Perla, <br />and unanimously approved. (3) Clark Oil Co. 28925 Lorain Rd. <br />Proposal to construct canopy over existing pump islands <br />Heard by Board of Zoning Appeal.s June 5, 1982 <br />Heard by Planning Commission June 10, 1982 <br />Heard by Architectural Board of Review June 16, 1982
