CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED , ARCHITECTURAL BOARD OF REVIEW - MINUTES - SEPTEMBER 22, 1982 I. ROLL CALL: , Chairwoman Case called the meeting to order at 7:10 p.m. Present: M. Case, S. Ebin, and R. Parry Absent: R. Mongello Also Present: B. Oring, Recording Secretary II. REVIEW AND CORRECTION OF MINUTES: S. Ebin moved to approve the Minutes of August 18, 1982 as submitted, seconded by R. Parry, and unanimously approved. III. SIGNS: (a) Ameritrust (Brilliant Electric Signs), 26091 Great Northern Addition to existing pole sign S. Ebin moved to approve as submitted, seconded by M. Case. Roll call on motion: Ebin and Case, Aye. Mr. Parry, Present. (b) Waterbed City (First Neon.Signs), 4687 Great Northern Blvd. Ground Sign The Board questioned that since a ground sign had to be set 7` back from the side walk, if it would fit in the green area (sign is 13'), also if stripedpole should be considered in total sign area since it is over 25% of sign (section _ 1221.06F2). Mr. Kub, from First Neon Signs, agreed to re- duce the size of the pole and will reduce size of sign if it extends into parking lot. S. Ebin moved to approve pro- viding the 7' setback from the sidewalk is maintained as the code requires and providing the inside edge of the sign is not into the parking area nor is subject to damage by high vehicles and that the total area of the sign, including the support pole, must be in accordance with the code are re- quirements and if the sign is shortened it must be shortend proportionately to what is shown, so that the shape does not change, it will just get smaller in all directions pro- protionately, seconded by M. Case. Roll call on motion: Ebin and Case, Aye. Parry, Present. (c) Sportsman's Junction (N. Downie), 26120 Lorain Rd. Wall Sign It was stated that this sign will not project above the roof. S. Ebin moved to approve the relocated sign as submitted, se- conded by M. Case. Roll call on motion: Ebin and Case, Aye. Parry, Present.
