' y <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />BOARD OF BUILDING CODE APPEALS <br />MINUTES - JULY 22, 1982 <br />I. ROLL CALL <br />Chairman Schulz called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. <br />Present: R. Puzzitiello, B. Schulz, and R. Tallon <br />Absent: J. Patton and J. Kazak <br />, Also Present: Building Commissioner E. Gundy and Recording Secretary <br />B. Oring <br />II. REVIEW AND CORRECTION OF MINUTES: <br />The Minutes of May 27, 1982 were approved as read. <br />III. NEW BUSINESS: <br />(1) Roppo's Hair Salon, 4905 Dover Center Rd. <br />Proposal for exterior alteration and remodeling of existing <br />dwelling. <br />Mr. Roppo was sworn in. He explained the plans to cover the <br />addition and part of the existing wood sided structure with metal <br />lath and stucco. He was advised that if the stucco were not <br />applied according to the code requirements it would deteriorate <br />in this climate. Section 503.3 of the One and Two Family Dwel- <br />ling Code regarding the application of stucco was read. Mr. <br />Roppo agreed that the stucco would be applied per code. R:.. <br />Puzzitiello moved to approve the proposal for exterior alteration <br />and remodeling of the existing dwelling for Roppo's Hair Salon, <br />4905 Dover Center Rd., with the provision that the stucco be <br />applied according to the specifications in Section 503.3 of the <br />One and Two Family Dwelling Code and that a copy of these speci- <br />fications be attached to the Building Permit, seconded by R. <br />Tallon, and unanimously approved. <br />(2) William Given Warehouse, 30948 Bradley Rd. <br />Proposal to construct warehouse in limited Industrial Area. <br />Mr. Given was sworn in. He eXplained his plans for an in- <br />dustrial storage building which will be block sealed with <br />paint. It was pointed out that there were residences on either <br />side but the dwellings were approximately 300' to 400' away. <br />Mr. Given was advised that concrete block is not a permitted , <br />masonry material; and it was suggested that he use the Svet ' <br />split block which has been approved in other instances. Mr. <br />Given agreed to use the split block. R. Tallon moved to ap- <br />prove the Svet split block as an alternative exterior material
