CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />BOARD OF ZONING APPEALS <br />MINUTES - JULY 1, 1981 <br />Chairman Ledvina called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. <br />Present: D. Ledvina, C. Reffinel, L. Horvath, and W. Wasniak <br />Also Present: Building Commissioner E. Gundy, Law Director M. <br />Gareau, and Recording Secretary B. Oring. <br />C. Remmel moved to approve the Minutes of June 3, 1981 as submitted, <br />seconded by L. Horvath, and unanimously approved. <br />1. Joseph N. Schaller, 23217 Alexander Rd. " <br />Request for variance (1133.13): Request Special Permit to add to <br />non-conforming dwelling (front set back). Special permission <br />required by Ord. 62-33, Section 1231.02. Also request 9' 8" <br />variance for front set back. Violation of Ord. 62-33, Section <br />1159.01. <br />Chairman Ledvina called all interested parties before the Board. <br />The oath was administered. It was noted that there were other homes <br />on the street which were in line with this set back. L. Horvath <br />moved to grant the Special Permit and the variance, seconded by <br />C. Remmel, and unanimously approved. . <br />2. David 0. Skinner, 5920 Decker Rdo <br />Request for variance (1133.13). Request 10' rear yard variance <br />for patio awning anc screens. (10' rear yard variance granted <br />5/22/74). Rear set back will be 30' (11' variance denied 6/3/8-1). <br />Violation of Ord. 62-33, Section, 1163.01. <br />Chairman Ledvina called all interested parties before the Board. <br />The oath was administered. An.ll -foot-uariance;_had been denied <br />at the June 3rd meeting. Mr. Skinner stated that there were other <br />houses in the neighborhood that had covered patios with.the same <br />rear set back, and this is never going to be a year round room, <br />only screeried. C. Remmel moved to grant the variance limited to <br />an enclosure with awnings and screens and not for any type of <br />permanent enclosure, seconded by L. Horvath. Roll call on Motion: <br />Remmel and Horvath, yea. Ledvina and Wasniak, nay. Request <br />denied. " <br />3. Edward A. Holmok, 3443 W. 231 St. <br />Request for variance (1133.13). Request 4', rear yard variance and <br />2' sideyard variance for garage (existing garage to be demolished <br />is now 3' from property line). Violation of Ord. 62-33, Section <br />1151.04-C.
