°'. <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ARCHITECTURAL BOARD OF REVIEW <br />MINUTES - JULY 20, 1981 <br />I. ROLL CALL: <br />Acting Chairman Parry called the meeting to order at 4:00 p.m. <br />Present: R. Parry and R. Mongello - M. Case arrived at 4:20 p.m. <br />Also Present: B. Oring Recording Secretary <br />II. REVIEW AND CORRECTION OF MINUTES: <br />R. Mongello moved to approve the Minutes of June 15, 1981 as submitted. <br />III. SIGNS: <br />(a) Western Images, 30125 Lorain Rd. Facia and Wall Sign <br />Approved as submitted <br />IV. OLD BUSINESS: <br />Payless Gas Station, 27447 Lorain Rd. Request to change name from <br />Red Head and decor of station. <br />It was stated that what is being proposed is more acceptable than <br />the original Red Head plans. R. Parry moved to approve as submitted <br />the change from Red Head Gas Station to Payless Gas Station, seconded <br />by R. Mongello, and unanimously approved. <br />V. NEW BUSINESS: <br />(a) Hennie Homes Multifamily Development (Berkus Group Architects) <br />North side of Brookpark Rd. roughly between rear property line of <br />Great Northern Blvd. and Mitchel Drive with access from Westview. <br />Mr. R. Puzzietiello, owner and developer, stated that he was <br />unable to present the detailed plans, but would like to present <br />the concept plans at this time. The building will consist of <br />1, 2, and 3 bedroom townhouse units and 2 and 3 bedroom multiplex <br />„ units. They will be constructed of redwood cedar and brick with <br />asphalt roofs. Mr. Parry stated that since some of these units <br />are 3 bedrooms with a den it was conceivable that there will <br />be children living there and that there is no open space desig- <br />nated as a play area. Most of the open area is broken up and <br />he thinks that the buildings could be grouped closer together to <br />consolidate the open area. Parking spaces and garages in some <br />cases are quite far from units and little guest parking is avail- <br />able since probably most units will have two cars. It was also <br />suggested that Mr. Puzzietiello look into the possibility of plac- <br />ing some garage units along the Brookpark right-of-way.
