CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED ARCHITECTURAL BOARD OF REVIEW MINUTES - SEPTEMBER 15, 1980 I. ROLL CALL: Chairman Parry called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. Present: R. Parry, D. Williams, C. Petroski, and M. Case. Also Present: B. Oring, Recording Secretary II. REVIEW AND CORRECTION OF MINUTES: D. Williams moved to approve the Minutes of August 18, 1980, seconded by M. Case, and unanimously approved. III. NEW BUSINESS: (a) Signs: Maj ur -Muf fler : WITHDRAWN Union Commerce Bank (Brilliant Electric Signs), 23100 Lorain Rd. Pole sign (Variance granted 9/3/80 to install second sign on existing Rini's Pole). C. Petroski moved to approve the Union Commerce sign, seconded by M. Case. Roll Call on Motion: Petroski and Case, Aye, Parry, Nay, and Williams abstained. Microwave Ovens (Boyer Sign Co.), 25319 Lorain Rd. D. Williams moved to approve the Microwave Oven Sign, seconded by C. Petroski, and unanimously approved. Fragapane Bakery (Bob Cutler Signs, I.nc.), 28641 Lorain Rd. Changeable Copy Sign. No representative present. D. Williams moved to disapprove be- cause there is one pole sign on the property, seconded by R. Parry, and unanimously approved. Donlevy's Back Room (Budget Signs), 26005 Great Northern Shopping Center - Facia Sign. - '• - ' This must be reviewed by the Board because it does not meet the sign criteria established for Gr.eat Northern Shopping Center. Mr. Farina representing Donlevy's stated that the sign is larger than allowed because they eventually will be taking over another unit. It was also explained that the height of the sign meets the criteria except for a few of the script type letters which exceed the height limitation. R. Parry moved to disapprove Donlevy's Back Room Sign as submitted and to recommend that the sign meet the Great Northern Shopping Center sign criteria.for the 35:...building frontage
