<br />? <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />BOARD OF ZONING APPEALS <br />PUBLIC HEARING <br />APRIL 2, 1980 <br />Chairman Ledvina called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. <br />Present: D. Ledvina, E. DeVoto, L. Horvath, and C. Remmel J <br />Also Present: Building Commissioner GLm dy, Law Director M. Gareau, <br />and Recording Secretary B. Oring. <br />Chairman Ledvina corrected the Minutes of March 5, 1980, case #5 <br />to read: "the appellant would have a 6' side yard. <br />L. Horvath moved to approve the Minutes of March 5, 1980 as corrected, <br />seconded by E. DeVoto, and imanimously approved. <br />1. Frank Chieffallo, 6792 Barton Rd. <br />Request for variance (1133.13). Request Special Permit to add to non- <br />conforming dwelling. Special permission required by 0 rd. 62-33, Section <br />1231.02. <br />Chairman Ledvina called all interested parties before the Board. The <br />oath was administered. It was observed that this would be a nice im- <br />provement to the property. C. Remmel moved to grant the special permit, <br />seconded by L. Horvath, and imanimously approved. <br />2. T. J. Maxx, 25959 Lorai.n Rd. <br />Request for variance (1133013)., Request to exceed maximum area per- <br />mitted for sign. Violation of Ord. 62-33, Section 1225m02 (c). <br />Chairman Ledvina called all interested parites before the Board. The <br />oath was administered. It was explained that the total signage on the <br />development had been used by the first tennants of the development. <br />Building Comnission Gtmdy explained that the present signage is 93 sq. <br />f tv over the maxdmum square footage allowed for the shopping center. <br />Mr. Owen Tegren, representing T. J. Maxx, explained that the Pole sign <br />was 50 sq. ft. and that the wall sign is 100 sq. ft. Mr. Gundy advised <br />the Board that this is less signage than would normally be permi.tted for <br />this.storeo It was observed that there are 5 pole signs for that shopping <br />center. Mr. Tegren suggested that this sign could be installed on the <br />Zayre pylon in place of the "Ilepartment Store" segment of their sign <br />which is approximately 80 sq. ft. D. Ledvina moved to grant the vari- <br />ance for the facia sign with a maximum of 100 sq. ftm and the 50 sq. ft. <br />pylon sign on the condition that this sign be put on the present Zayre <br />pylon to replace the "Department Store" section on this pylon, seconded <br />by E.
