Prokasy moved to approve the proposals as presented and as rec-
ommended by the Architectural Board of Review; the Olmsted Plaza -'
Phase 4-B Marjack Development sign criteria and the LaValle's
Restaurant sign, seconded by J. Roberts, and tmanimously approved.
At this point there was a discussion of the time allotted for the
Architectural Board of Review to act on proposals. The Waxnan
Cappet Warehouse Sign had been continued twice by the Review
Board. Z-t was explained by Assistant Law Director D. Ryan that
by Ordinance the Architectural B.oard of Review is required to make
recommendations to Planning Commission within 30 days si-nce
Planning Commission has to act on the proposal within 60 days.
Planning Commission can, if the developer is agreeable, place a
proposal in committee prior to making final recomnendations to
Council. If Planning Commission fails to act the within the 60
day limitation and the Developer has not agreed to a continuance,
Council must assume that the Planning Commission has approved the
proposal. It was then determined that the Planning Commission is
required to act on the sign for Waxnan's Carpet Warehouse signs.
B. Gorris moved to approve the Waxman's Carpet Warehouse Signs,
seconded by J. Prokasy, and unanimously approved. -
